Mark Hollis is/was an unbelievably talented singer/songwriter that I'll never grow tired of listening to. His breakthrough material with Talk Talk in the 80's - far ahead of their time - continues to draw new fans and hold listener attention. I find myself constantly adding songs by this group to my playlists - addictive!

Spirit of Eden was my fav by far - however I also think it was sooo different than everything else at the time - it was the end of them ...  I still chuckle when I hear "Its my life" as it reminds me so much of music videos and my first girlfriend

No worries, the other one is probably The Colour of Spring - note the English spelling of colour. A terrific album.

Get the album Laughing Stock...there are hints of that sound in this song. You won't know it's the same band—in a good way I think.

I think it's not that.... they used a very early version of electronic drums. I think they may have used real drums in the studio, since the early electro drums were somewhat unreliable. They never sucked...they were innovative and far better than other bands that were around at the time.
