I think this is the first song where I've gone to the "trouble" of logging in specifically to give a song a poor rating. Usually, if I can't say something nice I don't say anything....
I thought this was Peter Gabriel.
Meh, a rare 5. Though it might make it into the more popular 4 bin soon...
ETA: ok, he sang higher and worser at the end. A 4 it is.

Haaaa - "Helgi" is angry - that's quite rare!
I agree - a silly little song!
Awful voice, bad guitar playing, just bad arrangement, no sir , no good!

This is an audiophile's nightmare, I bet.

The future is nothing more than a construct? How nice it would be if that were true. But the future is here. Always has been.

No, you're not. That warbling sound is a typical sign of good ol' Auto-Tune pitch correction, and apparently they had to use lots of it during the production of this track. I didn't expect to hear something of the like on RP one day...
Yeah, I just came here to make sure I wasn't crazy, it's really, really terrible overuse of autotuning. Voted 1, it's too bad they couldn't find someone who can sing for this track, which seems like it could have been nice.

BwhaHaHaHa...STOP! Dude, I nearly blew an O-ring. You weren't serious - were you? Nah, no way. Here's an example of a song that's inferior to Dear Prudence.

Good ear. Sounds like a little echo was added in just for good measure.
And here I thought he just had a great voice.

Am I the only one that hears funky pitch work in these vocals?
Honestly, it sounds like bad pitch correction but I can't tell if its on purpose. Is it the MP3?
I don't mind the song otherwise...

Nope, I hear it too. It's as if he couldn't go high enough and they took the tired ol' robot to stretch his voice.

Yep, kinda like your positive outlook, EC.
another of Jon's beautiful songs...
ho hum
I just spotted a review of this CD online today.
"The second song "Part of you" reveals a hint of something of an aural trademark for this CD - Jon's voice is overdubbed with itself, but in the higher register, a technique repeated throughout, albeit sometimes reversed, the lower register providing the harmony, but the overall effect is rather pleasing."

It is clear that Redfern should just wait for two or three minutes into the song before he starts to sing, like he does in I Love the Sun.
It lessens the damage.

59% is not a bad start straight off the blocks!

New to me; I like it, subdued but interesting. Why the low rating if we all are so positive?

I like!
...it's another grower by Mr. Redfern for sure. I've thouroughly enjoyed this new album too, especial the last song <don't worry> with Becky Unthank. Concise, chilling and heart felt.
I still think he looks like that character from King Of The Hill - John Redcorn!

I really, really love this new one by Jon!
nice, the "i love the sun" guy has another song. AND it's pretty good.

Is this new? I have thoroughly enjoyed his last album.
Very nice. Kind of song that may grow on you.
No trace of Jon Redfern on the web, really strange...
