Hey there, you know, I don't see a dog like you
You hang around in the cold blackness
And watch it all, guess you just love the ladies
Why don't you walk your ass on up

Say hey girl, you dance pretty good
For a almost white girl, and um, um
Your lips they sure do match my wallet
Hey, oh I get so tired but you know

Somebody gotta keep the shotguns
Off the dance floor
Say, why don't you finish that now girl?
And we can stroll out into the midnight air

And skin up a fat one
Yeah, you gonna dig on this, yip
A nice big fat one, yeah, fat one
Makes you a little bit insecure

See, that's good for a dog like you
Chills out your ego
I mean, what you gonna do boy?
Which tells you you gotta turn the heat up

You gonna say why don't we go back
To my place, so we can talk
About Dostoevsky

Huh, hey, where'd she go?
The girl is gone now, where'd she go now?
You're alone now
Oh, this ain't like college town

No, welcome to the third world
The boys like the girls
And the girls like the money
You gotta spread it around

You see, the girls like the boys
And the boys like the honey
After bee, after bee, after bee
(Or after me, after me, after me)

The boys like the girls
And the girls like the money
Spread it around, uh oh
'Cause you like the honey, ooh

Oh yeah, the honey
Keeps the bears all stuck
In their chairs 'til it's too late
And it's way too late
Yip, it's all way too late, oh

Yip, see the crowd gets a little bit thin
And a little bit crazy
You see, just like that, that's right

I would

Too funny!!

What it would sound like if Talking Heads covered the Stones' Miss You, produced by Brian Eno of course.

And a splash of Tom Tom Club
Nope.
I dig how he pays homage to The Clash -- makes me think of "Overpowered by Funk," (and I hear some tasty shades of INXS' "Suicide Blonde" in there as well) and I JUST LOVE that hilarious part where he tries to get her to come home with him to talk about Dostoyevsky -- hah!
These guys are FUN!
I would never, ever, have guessed this was them. Weird!!

This is fun...

remember "The Tubes"
Most excellent - great selection!

Reminds me of Beck

Definitely. Scary Monsters era or thereabouts.
Dandy's call it like they see it. Love that about them. {#Dancingbanana_2}
great holiday tune, has me rethinking my ife's priorities  : )  ( and doing little groovin')
For a very brief moment at the beginning it sounded like we were about to be infected by The Ting Tings.
Boring

BIIIINGO!
I suppose that it was inevitable that a man named Courtney Taylor-Taylor would eventually become a parody of himself.

Bowie, don't forget Bowie....
...i really don't know how i feel about this song, no clue at all...

Is this supposed to be a parody of 80's tunes?
must. get. this. album.
Yep... a nice big fat one!

{#Dancingbanana}                   {#Chillpill}s out your ego....

{#Yes}

Oh how I love the Dandies!  Good stuff

God, I love this...the unholy love child of the Stones' "Miss You" and Blur's "Girls & Boys"...but the possibilities are endless.
reminds me of Zappa / Tubes / Some Girls Album (Rolling Stones)
They've totally ripped off the Concords with this one.

So funny! Guess you have to be familiar with the Dandies to really appreciate this. At the end of the album, they sing this in French.

It's good stuff...

No, what he says is "wassa matta whichoo, boy?"
Isn't this how Blondie would have sounded if she were a man?

"what"s a matter with you boy"
...is this really the dandy warhols?..it sounds like it was recorded in 1983...
No thanks.
OK it's headed down the 'tired of it already' drain.  A 4 now.  Dropped it to a 5 yesterday.  Soon it will be in "novelty" land where once a year is too much play.
Mick Jagger says, "What's a matter with you, boy?"

Almost sounds like "the Magnificent Seven" by the Clash, if you turn it down low enough.

Not nearly as good though.  This is a disappointing album so far from a (normally) good band.

At the rate this album is being played on RP, that should only take another day or two.

Oh man, this is bad.
Great song. The remix version of this song is all kinds of fun, too.
Hmm...think I'll need to hear this one at least a couple more times before I make up my mind... {#Think}   but it's off to a good start.

Nice hooks.... fun stuff

Do we love the Dandies? YES WE DO!!!!!!

{#Dancingbanana}
Dandy Heads?
Talking Warhols?
Maybe a 7.

edit:  Naw, a 6, max.  Is the point of this album to rip off other bands' sounds?  Seems kinda pointless.

As if Lou Reed had INXS as his backing band.
........wow.
Stellar!!!
