This is a song that I recall hearing for the first time and thinking, “damn! I have  NO idea who this is, but I really love it!“ I’ve since learned more of their catalog and love & appreciate them all the more. Great grooves!
Thank you RP! Without you, I’d have likely missed out on them entirely.!

GREAT TUNE!   That is why we come here.  Thanx RP!

Only if you don't understand what Muzak is, or what this is.
just bumped this from 8 to 9 - love me some Thievery Corporation!!
Do I hear a hint of "what shall we do with the drunken sailor"?

You can stream it from virtually all streaming providers. You can order vinyl from Tower Records online. If you're looking for a CD, then yeah, you may be out of luck.

  Both songs feature numerous riffs from similar "Middle Eastern"-sounding scales - probably Phrygian dominant for one.
  Anyhow, this song predates "Carry Fire".

If you mean Robert Plants Carry Fire, you might be wrong. Because Plant's song is from 2017!  This song is from 2008! Has Mr. Plant copied something from Thievery Cooperation?
Sounds like muzak. Skip.

I'm back, and now, so is this comment (from 2015)
The whole song seems like intro. I've been waiting for the actual music to start. Repetitive and boring.
Nice accompanyment to my workout!  Haven't heard it in quite a while.
Keep it up💖👆👍
heard them at a friend's NYC apartment when young and thought this was one of the benefits of going to new places. Still find this years later

Pita alone is purposeless, it's like asking for more buns at McDonald's.
 Hummus, babaganoush, muhamara and tzatziki are useless without Pita. Pita, brushed with good olive oil and lightly grilled, can stand alone.
More hummus, beyotch!
Im down with it

Most people believe that the attention span of a gnat is around 3.4 seconds. But what you don't know is that gnats don't fly around you to eat your sweat. They are listening in on your brain waves and conversations. Their attention span is about 34 hours.

It wasn't his belly that got shaved in the version I learned.

Yeah; I guess it could vary based on how drunk the sailor was and which ship he was on.  Of course they could always put him in the scuppers.
And ditto.

Happy Feet music...

Let's dance-!!

Really getting into this, would love to hear something else by them.
This reminds me of a James Bond movie.

Tricky business amnesiacs.
Never again
This song is featured prominently in Steven Soderbergh's recent film Side Effects.  It's a pretty good movie, and the song is played in a very interesting and key moment in the film.  It's also played in the closing credits.

It'll be my luck that there is a hell and that Satan can't stop playing this song.
Here we go again
Not again
Shakin' my ass.{#Yes}
This song by Thievery Corporation has a pretty prominent spot in the movie Side Effects https://soundtrack-movie.com/side-effects/

Love TC and have this album but always skip this track as its WAY too repetetive.
NOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo.......
5X in 30 days way too much
Great belly dance material !{#Yes}
PSD time once again.
And someone's 'borrowed' my 'Best of TC' CD and never returned it...  hmmmm, will have to revisit the likely culprits!
Even though this is a Generation Wuss band, I like them.  {#Flamed}
..sergio overtones, more electronically..

5 Times in one month. Enough already
 i love these guys, every cd they've made is worth listening to over and over and over. if you suffer from musical ADD (i'm sorry) and can't take this one any more, start over with mirror conspiracy. you won't regret, or my name isn't a question it's an answer ..and one i really don't care for
I know many don't care for this group or their music, but I love them

{#Dance}
I presumed you were playing this for the Gowri and Ganesha festival.  Don't know much about it, but my staff in India told me about it.
Very close to a sound track cut from an old DOS game "Silent Thunder"  if you can find this old game on CD it's worth it for the 12 music tracks ....
Love this song! discovered these musicians through RP
Love this song!  {#Good-vibes}
Again with this song?
This song is played way too much. Please put it away for a few years or 10.

"The Good, the Bad, and the Funky"?
Nothing lower than a 1? PSD, here I come.
The more I hear this, the more I love it!

Another great reason to listen to RP. Listen to one track, like it, discover more about the artist.
good groove

I actually liked this song the first 100 or so times I heard it but not so much now as its wearing thin...

{#Naughty} I don't agree with your statement in this case.

I actually like this song (and the aforementioned Canon).

Thumbs UP!!
how repetitive
re:  Lewis Cooper's photo a dozen entries below.

When Theivery Corp played at Atlanta's Fabulous Fox last year, they borrowed heavily from the local hip-hop crowd.  Had a couple of ladies dancing to this; had singers and other musicians joining them on and off throughout one of the ROCKINGEST concerts I've ever seen.  (If that's not a word, I hereby copyright it and retain all Artisitc and Intellectual Property rights.  RIAA?  You paying attention?)

The groove and repetition are by design - components of the genre.  You may as well complain about Fauvist paintings having bright colors.
