Have you ever seen a one trick pony in the field so happy and free
If you've ever seen a one trick pony then you've seen me
Have you ever seen a one legged dog makin' his way down the street
If you've ever seen a one legged dog then you've seen me

(Then you've seen me) I come and stand at every door
(Then you've seen me) I always leave with less than I had before
(Then you've seen me) but I can make you smile when the blood it hits the floor
Tell me friend can you ask for anything more
Tell me can you ask for anything more

Have you ever seen a scarecrow filled with nothing but dust and weeds
If you've ever seen that scarecrow then you've seen me
Have you ever seen a one armed man punchin' at nothing but the breeze
If you've ever seen a one armed man then you've seen me

(Then you've seen me) I come and stand at every door
(Then you've seen me) I always leave with less than I had before
(Then you've seen me) but I can make you smile when the blood it hits the floor
Tell me friend can you ask for anything more
Tell me can you ask for anything more

These things that have comforted me I drive away (anything more)
This place that is my home I cannot stay (anything more)
My only faith is in the broken bones and bruises I display

Have you ever seen a one legged man tryin' to dance his way free
If you've ever seen a one legged man then you've seen me

Mickey Rourke was a big heartthrob after "Diner." He wasn't boxing that much, was he? I think it was just really bad plastic surgery. Glad to see that he's had a career resurgence.
Would like to hear some other cuts from this LP.

Try as I might, I cannot understand the adulation Bruce Springsteen continues to receive. His "I'm just a common guy speaking out for the common man" act got real old for me years ago while his current music sounds like variation on a previous theme. Yawn.....

God, I loved The Wrestler!  Mickey Rourke's moment ... every bit as powerful as De Niro in Raging Bull (which I thought was a masterpiece).   And I applauded Sean Penn's nod to Rourke during Penn's acceptance speech for Milk.  Those two knew ... better than anyone in the room, or any of the millions watching, who deserved to be up there.

This song (during the closing credits) captures the spirit of the movie nicely.

One-legged dog? Really? Time for a GIS. {#Think}

Agree on both counts.

Me too.

Looked more like he was dropping his own load off at the Superbowl. This song is right in line with his Guacamole Dip/Chicken Fingers performance on Sunday....  {#Stupid} It's Boss Time! {#Frustrated}

The "load" is actually that comment, but to each his own, I guess.

I've been a loyal Springsteen fan since the very beginning.  Based on what I've heard from this album so far it doesn't sound like one of his best ones.

Watch him blow the roof off the dump at the Super Bowl tomorrow, though.

Hmmm...

I kinda like this one.

Nothing new.  Same Bruce for the past 20 years.
Nah. No way. C'mon. This is tripe.
