Running with the wolves.
It's time for us to go.
Left all our clothes.
With the car left by the road.

And we were running.
For a reason.
For the burning, in our veins.
And we were running.
For a reason.
We just need to get away.

Running with the wolves.
We're screaming at the stars.
Left all we own.
In a hole in our backyard.

And we were running.
For a reason.
Left our cubicles in little flaming piles.
And we were running.
For a reason.

I need to feel something different for just a little while.

I'm not coming home.
I'm staying with the wolves.
They can burn all my mail.
And disconnect my phone.

Tell my mom I'm sorry, sorry for leaving.
But I'm staying.

Now we're running to find meaning.
We're gone, and we're never coming back.

Meh
8 for the drumming alone.
First time I have heard this group on RP great sing
I admire Cloud Cult and find them inventive....just don't like the way they sound. My loss, I guess
Kind of U2ish! Not sure.
Love the drums on this track {#Drummer}

Cloud Cult !
Thank you Bill for playing so many great artists from MN and WI, it's always a kick to hear them on RP!

Outstanding..the drummer is passionate and the vocals are dreamy.
I never would have known about Cloud Cult if not for RP. Thanks, Bill!
I try to be open-minded, but Cloud Cult is not on my list. They are as inventive to me as roasted garlic ice cream is inventive...or maybe I just don't get it.

Respectfully, couldn't disagree more.  The sincerity in his voice 'makes' the song.
There is a fabulous live version of this song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzrb36NKI5Q
One of those guys that write a decent song and should have hired someone to sing it.
And this grows on me. Me likey, even if it's a tad overproduced and eccentric.
I hear Death Cab for Cutie. Or, Death Cab for Cutie hears Cloud Cult.

hmm...
Nothing to bark abaout...

Shut up already!  You had to let us know 3 TIMES on this one song??

Nope. Just scroll on, it's not that hard. Even persistent trolls like Stingray can be scrolled past in a millisecond with the twitch of a finger.

I think this is a red herring argument.   If anything, it's the positive comment posters that fill up the boards to the point that it becomes a problem.   I do think seriously there is only one call for censorship on the Internet, that is for when someone is interfering with commentary in an actual physical sense.   For instance, someone filling a board with advertising.  Or, someone who is clearly suppressing other comments via some technical means, filling the entire board with the same post so as to place the real comments out of view.   I don't think we have at RP anyone who fits this category.
Actually it was 4 times.

I think Bill must play this whenever I'm around. It's good that I like it: 8.
Horrible.

I hate this more than pretty much anything else. Every time this terrible excuse for a band gets played I shut down RP and log in to bitch about it.

Does not sound like Slayer.

Yup, that's a keeper. It's awfully tempting...

WTF? What the Hell is a matter with his voice? What the Deuce??

I always thing this is death Cab.....? Me likey!

A friend of mine gave me a burned copy of the FL Dark Side disk.  I wasn't impressed.  It was ok I guess, but the Flaming Lips need to stick with what they do best and Pink Floyd songs are not it.

I don't mind this style of singing.  There are lots of other bands that do this that I also like.  Blue October for one, even tho they are a bit too commercial for me.  (And by commercial, I mean obvious, clean, formulaic, and a touch trite)  I'm a huge Flaming Lips fan, so maybe that helps.

On a side note, does anyone have this album?  It's on my short list to buy and I was curious if it is all this good.

To answer my own question...  Yes, it is very good if you like what you hear on RP.

Every time i hear this I raise my vote. This song gets me going!!!!
Muy bien!!

CC represents a Flaming Lips unobsessed with picking lint out of it's collective navel.
Very nice!
BAM! BAM! BAM!  It has not grown on me. It has pushed me away.

This whole "Light Chasers" album is in heavy rotation in my car this month. And played NOT just by me, but also my 10-year-old son (budding drummer), and 15-year-old parents-are-so-stupid (but musical) daughter.

Can't wait until they come back to Atlanta.

{#Clap} By Garsh, here's an example where there's hope for the youth of the country. Rock On! {#Cool}

His voice reminds me of Jon Anderson from Yes. I agree with you about the lyrics...at some point don't most of us micro-serfs want to burn our cubicles down? {#Music}

Interesting lyrics. The singer's voice is a little squeaky for my tastes...needs more salt.
