Tu sais bien, Sehnsucht bleibt the hope of lonesome nights

Jolie belle, liebst du mich, rien me gêne
Du kannst gehen, bleiben, sterben, but don't make me sad
Lautlos, lautlos
Lautlos, lautlos
Jolie belle, liebst du mich, rien me gêne
Du kannst gehen, bleiben, sterben, but don't make me sad

Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien
Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien

Jolie belle, liebst du mich, rien me gêne
Du kannst gehen, bleiben, sterben, but don't make me sad

Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien
Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien
Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien
Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien

You forget the English parts of the lyrics :-)

The band mastermind, Stani, is a friend of my brother. The whole ever oscillating, fluctuating group of musicians around him hail from all parts of the world, although mostly, I believe, from former Yugoslavia. A wildly talented bunch.

I saw them live a couple of times, amazing! I vividly remember them playing for their album "I know what you want" at Vienna's Club Ost, they had the crowd jumping after half a song - all of the crowd, and literally! They played for 2 hours, without pauses between the songs, just one leading into the next, with what seemed like no effort at all. The audience went crazy!

The drummer was very good; but all others (singer, bass, acoustic guitar, horn, trumpet, accordion, violin) were virtuosos.
I love RP in the same manor i hate this song. Don’t know anybody in Germany who really likes it.

I tried to use Google translate, but it can't handle switching back and forth. I'll have to run it through in both French and German and stitch the lyrics together.

Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien (French) = You are beautiful, love, you make me feel good

Jolie belle, liebst du mich, rien me gêne
Jolie belle (French) = Beautiful
liebst du mich (German) = you love me, or do you love me?
rien me gêne (French) = nothing bothers me

Good music aus Deutschland. I miss my time there, too long ago.

I didn't understand this comment until the chorus. Lol.
Mixed language lyrics:

Take care of yourself, you are beautiful
You go too far when no horizon can hold you
Tu sais bien, love
Wistfulness is what doesn't like to be lost
Don't turn around, look at me
We'll see each other, only the question is when
Tu sais bien, longing remains
The hope of lonesome nights
Jolie belle, do you love me, rien me gêne
Only the horizon, see how erfast burns
You can go, stay, die
But don't make me sad
Silently the sun goes down, silently
Jolie belle, do you love me, rien me gêne
Only the horizon see how it almost burns
You can go, stay, die
But don't make me sad
Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien
Turn around for me, don't stand still
We've got to see how time passes with us
Tu sais bien, longing is
What comes when it gets dark
Jolie belle, do you love me, rien me gêne
Only the horizon, see how it almost burns
You can go, stay, die
But don't make me sad
Tu es beau, love, tu me fais du bien

Silent?  In German, lautlos is both an adjective and adverb...
This is great.  Skadero from the same album kicks it up several notches!  Give it a listen.  Of course, if you don't like accordions, I would suggest you skip this band.

Thanks for the music!  I find new artist here all the time!

You would expect they were from Switzerland and not from Austria. With maybe a little Italian thrown in.

With this mix even a german brain is broken, but anyway nice expirience to hear that
I think this might be Ursula von der Leyen singing to Boris Johnson.

That's it. From now on, all my poems will consist of multiple languages to make rhyming a snap.

Thank you.  I know a smattering of German and only the sound of French.  I was lost, but now I'm found.

Like the tune too.
Guten Morgen! ...this song goes well with my morning coffee!
Good upbeat stuff to get in a festive spirit in these dark days. And also nice to hear a song in a not so common language for songs on the radio
Clearly european!

Each time I hear this one, briefly, I think it's a Jamiroquai track, then the singing starts and I realize it's this track which I've rated an 8 and will stick with.  Long Live RP!!

Not sure if I've ever heard Jamiroquai here....

So true. I am still surprised by some of Bill's musical choices. I am referring to those not easy to digest. It could take a few listens before I start to appreciate it or decide that it's not my taste and never will be. But it's always worthwhile to get to know these different flavors.

Are the lyrics a cross of German and French? Cool song either way.
This is dodgy, shifty maybe.
Fed the lyrics into Bing translate. Got

Radio Paradise, to me, has always been about marrying the best of traditional modes of music that you can hear almost anywhere in the US with those music-knowledge-expanding gems that you won't hear anywhere else. This song, Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, Madrugada, Cesaria Evora, Django Reinhardt, and multiples of Finn Brothers tunes - these are just a few examples of why Radio Paradise is the best listening experience I've come across.

Put simply: I like to hear this song every so often, but I love the IDEA of this song on this station.

A nice silly song you heartily endorse when on holiday and/or drinking then later confess " well I guess you had to be there with the crowd.." :)

I like the music, rhythm and choice of instrument, the voice of the singer but I'm confused by the mix of French and German lyrics. I speak both but I can't understand the song because my brain keeps translating it ^^
I would say that overall I like the song, all the elements are matching :)
