Falling from her braided hair
New morning on the stereo
Close together on the page
We live it down

She has made place for me
And life for those our children
Sewn into her swedish purse
I think upon these things

Chosen by candlelight
As great trees have fallen
Quietly and to herself
This is my language

Again I am away at sea
Looked upon with sharp eyes
Father how far am I
It seems forever as the crow flies

Again I am away at sea
Tossed about under a mean sky
Lord how far am I
How far am I

Wow. This thing goes on forever and is completely annoying. Mute until this noise is over. :(

Wow., I didnt know that we had Swifties listening!
Cool though.
Wow...I just got the connection to "Black Soul Choir" that I always thought for sure I heard in this (same artist)... Love that churchy J.S. Bach/ Iron Butterfly keyboard style throughout -- so spooky...and Divine!
Immediately thought "Oh there's another band that sounds a bit like 16 Horsepower? Awesome!!"
But then... I read the description haha!
Oh well, I didn't know he had another project, so still a cool discovery! Thanks RP!

Yeah, The Gun Club and Jeffrey Lee Pierce brought me to David but where's the gun club's music?
This is great. Thanks again William!

I swear William knows I'm tuned in online and is posting these great tracks just for me.

If you have the opportunity to see David Eugene live, don't miss it. I've seen 16 Horsepower and Wovenhand live 6 times and it is not enough!
If I have to guess it's about David Eugene's wife and how he misses her when he is on tour. He praises her for her motherly and introverted character in the second and third verse.

3:30 is forever? Pity anyone you're with.
And, you know the PSD button?
It takes less energy to push that, than it does to complain.

This song is shrouded in mystery.. I really enjoy it
Interesting melting pot of styles - Mosaic is a good album title!
never heard of this group.

Another reason RP is my go to for expanding my musical intelligence.

Thanks, B&R!!! 🙏
TIL There is a genre called "gothic country".
the outro should continue on a while longer
it seems forever as the crow flies
I get captured by the organ theme every time, it's just intriguing.
Only 4 from me
Stateside where else but RadioParadise are you going to hear Wovenhand / 16 Horsepower?
Wovenhand - David Eugene Edwards
I was listening to this and trying to figure out if was from the late 60s/early 70s or today. Turns out it's from 2006. Very cool.
Saw these guys live earlier this year in a glorified bar.  Great performance.  Great songs.  Love the unique sound.

Yes.

Inna Gadda Da Vida Baby!!!!!!!

Heard this vaguely, from another  room.  And could      not    believe   that Inna Gadda Da Vida  would play on RP.   And it wasn't.  Regretfully.
This made me want to put on some Bo Hansson. So I did.

Her posts still make me laugh. Love Woven Hand and miss Cynaera.

I'm wondering the same thing. I think the answer is yes, but I'm not sure.
Interesting, sounds a little bit like dead can dance?
I don't know....do I like this??  {#Stupid}
Seems likeable—————vocal maybe like Tim Buckley...........organ is Doorsish.........tin pipe, yeah Steeleye Span like.
Thought this was Puscifer till I checked.

I think the problem may have been that there was a stonehenge monument on stage that was in danger of being crushed. By a dwarf.

It tended to understate the hugeness of the object.
I was really liking the intro, and then the vocals started. Then it just sounded weird.

ditto
and he is a killer on stage (especially when it's an outdoor gig and it's raining buckets and everything as an air like the world could end tonight and it wouldn't even be such a bad thing)
Yeah, David Eugene Edwards on RP is a good thing.
very nice!
Inna Gadda Da Vida Baby!!!!!!!
Too bad we can't buy this in the US!!!!
A banjo and a pipe organ. Not a combination you hear every day.
Nice set going on...!
Anything that starts out with an organ riff gets my immediate attention.

I hear strains of Innagadda Davida in the riff.

7 first listen.

The 1760s?  I guess they're still alive in one way or another.  Nice music.
Who said the 60's are dead....
i'm not sure i'd have liked this unless it was after puscifer and syntax, as it was just now.
i want to hear madrugada next.

Mosaic or Consider the Birds are a good place to start. Also, Folklore by Sixteen Horsepower is similar to his Woven Hand work. David Eugene is an eccentric and very talented musician.
Whoah, pretty cool — starts out like Philip Glass' eerie "Koyaanisqatsi" and flashes riffs of it throughout...the mood it evokes is weird, and the singing also good.  Interesting!
Kind of cool. Now I want to hear more from the artist.
Doors? no way, man....https://videos.sapo.pt/pSkz0Z6AIBNGqJQDG0iK
Sounds a bit like something off of the 'Rocket Cottage' album by Steeleye Span, but this voice doesn't hold a candle to Maddy Prior.

Jim Morrison lives!  {#Daisy}
I told you Morrison wasn't dead.
{#Skull}Very good CD..STRONG imagery..1st couple of listens, it struck fear in my heart...now I can handle it..
Dreary.

It does sound more like one of those bands than it does The Doors, to me.  The Doors never had any tunes with this sort of tempo, that's a different organ sound than Ray Manzarek usually employed, and the voice and vocal stylings sound very little like those of Jim Morrison.  Other than that...
This is marvelous. I've never heard of him/them.
Another one for the ever growing list of musical greed.
Jim... is that you? Are you back? Creepy... ...in a good way.Surprised
HAMMERING the PSD button!!!
It does have hints of the Doors - the keyboard and the lead vocal... Not sure if I like this or not, because I'm not a Doors fan at all (let the flagellation begin...){#Whipit}

Hmm... Somewhat, yes. Also reminds me of Peter Gabriel (voice, especially).

Compellingly weird
I love this guy's music . . .
