Please don't come any closer to me,
I feel old like a withered tree,
These days are passing eternally,
You won't ask me to slow it down,
Blurred emotions in the crown of the kings of speed,
And all we see in full motion collection.
Time isn't slowing,
Just speed,
Just speed.
Silence is golden and seems so pretend,
The towering of war machines and men,
The falling of lives as we wait in line,
We are fading to nothing,
Losing the race as they steam ahead,
Leaving the trail of the living dead,
Moving away,
Broken frames push forward then play.
Time isn't slowing,
Just speed,
It's all we're knowing.
Silence is golden and seems so pretend,
The towering of war machines and men,
The falling of lives as we wait in line,
We are fading to nothing,
Losing the race as they steam ahead,
Leaving the trail of the living dead,
Moving away,
Broken frames push forward then play.
Time isn't slowing,
Just speed,
It's all we're knowing.

Love it but that image of them playing live looks a bit Brown Shirt to me!!
For a second the beginning sounds like one of the new tracks from the new  Tolhurst - Budgie - and Jackknife Lee album "Los Angeles."

It would be great to get a song or two from this excellent new album on RP soon.

Oh yeah, this is an excellent tune as well.
Whoah, terrific. 9 to 10

explain, please.

Archive are a great band, not sure why they aren't better known.  Maybe the name stopped people streaming their songs illegally!

For one thing, they are *really* hard to Google!  Trying Googling "archive"
Proper - help us to change this fucking system in Hungary
Love this band. Saw them twice. Great concerts with a lot of energy.

Sounds just like Archive.
Good band . Some commenters were comparing this with U2 ...Bonehead would be lucky to write a song this good.

I popped in to see if it was them.

Really like the dark groove! Nice buildup of the Wall of Sound. 9 for me

I had always thought this was Kasabian...
Melody is so passé and overrated. I do sorta like this nonetheless.
{#Cheers}{#War}{#Hungry}
Yet another band that I really enjoy after having heard them on RP.  I will make note- this is probably the most difficult band to google for info. {#Yes}
Yes!  ... I'm really digging this song...   thank you RP.  LOVE from Canada... You are the best! {#Roflol}{#Daisy}{#Roflol}123K
Love that cover art.

Plus a dash of Ray Davies.

Man, it would be fun to be a bass player in this song - nice grooves

It's a shame (for me, not them, obviously) that Radiohead didn't evolve along a path nearer to this.  I might still be worshipping at their altar.

Amen. This is angst, anger and dismay but empowerment, without the droning.

I must admit that on their latest records (controlling crowds I&II) there are some weak moments, but most of the tracks transfer a  very atmospheric feeling. If you aren't discouraged by some electronic beats, this stuff is really fine! (I myself are also more into the accoustic kinds of music, but openminded for almsot everything). I would recommend you'll take a listen to their "You all look the same to me"-album... If you want to....

What mineralBob said.

"You all look the same to me", great album

U2 à la Yorke

It's what Thom and RH might do better to sound like. Because if this was more typical of their sound, I wouldn't be PSDing.
I thought this was the 1st listenable song from the latest U2 album... {#Cheesygrin}
looks like I was correct with my gut feeling about that album - it suckeths big time!
this song is good, a mix of 90ies U2 (Achtung Baby/Pop) & Radiohead {#Yes}

Most amazing!
not too much, but such a relief after Pearl Jam, The Who and Vivaldi
Decent

Everybody in my churches loves this song...

I'm wondering if Yorke and RH ever had it so thumping good.

7>8.
And the music education continues at RP. That's a really smokin' tune. Strong groove, although not really unique. A blend of other band brands.
Kasabian meets Radiohead?
Pretty good jam going here!

Sounding really good I like this........
This is pretty cool.
First I've heard this. I like it.
Everyone in my trailer park thinks this song has a a nice groove.....
reminds me of U2
Sounds like a PJ Harvey song, I can't recall which one though.

Not nearly whiny enough for Yorke.
I don't hear any U2, but I just really like this. Gotta be Brit though, yes?

This is such a U2 rip off!  While I like the song in itself - we already have this band - their called U2!!!  A 6  for that reason.
Who are you and what have you done to Thom Yorke?
Very cool

Thought it could be Radiohead for a second there

Oh, man! My little tube amp is loving this!

I was thinking that it was some obscure early Radiohead, from that era where they were transforming from arena rockish to experimental...  I've heard some crazy b-sides floating around.

Radio Paradise is a CODERS DREAM at 2:35 AM tonight.

Thank you Bill... I'm much more productive because of you tonight.

Thanks for the 'proper' reply! I really quite like electronic beats (I think there's just something I don't like about the beats on this one), so perhaps I'll try and track down some other stuff :)
