She toured with the Dead ... 1st show after Jerry passed .  @Willie Nelsons 4th of July Picnic... Fantastic show... I believe 2003? I get confused...  following night Neil Young and Crazy Horse played... Grinning like a Possum eatin' shyte!  Certainly love hearing her sing ... she can bring it!

Caught her last year in Oakland (Yoshi's) and it was extremely good! She'd done a recent series of gigs doing Dylan songs and did a few for us. In the middle of Shelter From the Storm I was starting to get emotional and, when it was done, she looked at us and her band and said, "whew....THAT went to a different place..."

My daughter cries sweet jesus out her, that doesn't bother me. I encourage her.
     But wenn she starts running around, oh my God such a sight to see.
                              I can't help cutting capers myself.

This is a very good version, and I really enjoy the way Ms. Osborne brings a strong element of, "See you around, buster."  That's key, or the lyric begins to sound whiny.

I also own a CD of Queen Latifah blues and jazz standards, and she kills this song!  Don't laugh, the woman can really sing.
