Your love is like a chunk of gold
Hard to gain, and hard to hold

Like a rose that's soft to touch
Love has thorns, that can hurts so much

Well and Why?
Must the same love that made me laugh have that make me cry?

Well, you think of love as sitting on a mountain
Think of it as being a great big rock
Won't you think before you started to roll it down
Because once you start it, you can't make it stop

I've given all I have to give
And if you don't want me
I don't want to live

Oh, you think of love as sitting on a mountain
Think of it as being a great big rock
Won't you think before you started to roll it down
Because once you start it, you can't make it stop

I've given all I have to give
And if you don't want me
I don't want to live

Well and Why?
Must the same love that made me laugh have that make me cry?

Oh now
Must the same love that made me laugh why wanna make me cry?

Ohhh why wanna make me cry?
Tell me now

È bella.
She toured with the Dead ... 1st show after Jerry passed .  @Willie Nelsons 4th of July Picnic... Fantastic show... I believe 2003? I get confused...  following night Neil Young and Crazy Horse played... Grinning like a Possum eatin' shyte!  Certainly love hearing her sing ... she can bring it!

Love the song, but is she using kazoos as background instruments in some parts...

Give this a try? (https://jessicamitchellmusic.com) 'Tear it Down' .. still my favourite.
Caught her last year in Oakland (Yoshi's) and it was extremely good! She'd done a recent series of gigs doing Dylan songs and did a few for us. In the middle of Shelter From the Storm I was starting to get emotional and, when it was done, she looked at us and her band and said, "whew....THAT went to a different place..."

If Joan keeps this up, she could be the natural successor to a few R&B greats who've left us recently.

Absolutely!  She truly displays a depth of feeling in her vocal inflections which just adds to her presentation kicking it up a notch or two.

What a talent, what a sound, hell yeah!
This is just so good for my ears, aw hell, it's good for my entire head!
It's nice to find out that someone who might have been thought of as a one-hit wonder is so talented.

We've got our tickets for Tampa. Never seen her before & can't wait. Sexiest woman in music today IMO.
A year since I last posted, and what do I think now?

Ms Osborne, you are magnificent.
This song is killer-diller!  On the subject mentioned below, I saw her last month as a member of Trigger Hippy -- and would do so again in a New York minute.

Joan will always be known for "One of Us," which is not a bad song just overplayed; however, she is stellar on "Right Hand Man" and "St Teresa" both on Relish.  Saw her live with Rusted Root at Gettysburg College in '95 and again at the Chameleon in Lancaster as the headliner.

i've loved everthing fr this album. wasn't fond of her past poprock stuff.

Ok, Joan, you ARE the very best.  At least until Sinead O'Connor or Shirley Bassey get their next turn.

This is a very good version, and I really enjoy the way Ms. Osborne brings a strong element of, "See you around, buster."  That's key, or the lyric begins to sound whiny.

I also own a CD of Queen Latifah blues and jazz standards, and she kills this song!  Don't laugh, the woman can really sing.

Wouldn't have thought to say that but it is definitely what was happening.

Such soul in her voice, and the guitar soars.

This song is soooo good for the ears...

Awful
{#Question}  I'll never get R&B.  Guess I was just born that way.
Man oh man - WHY? this is an unbelievably flat version of this song... lots of wailing and NO soul.  UGH...  Should have left it to BiIl......
This is freakin awesome

Wow. As I mentioned over the other cut: never been a big fan of Joan, but this album sounds great.

Same, I've never liked her but I'm definitely digging this.
Amazing voice, great jazz singer. Pretty too.  Got her autograph on a plane a few years ago...a thrill.
How can this possibly be the same person who did "One of Us"?
Great comeback Joan.  Love the R&B style.{#Dancingbanana}
