That guitarist is sending some mad Beetlejuice vibes from the cover there.

What a great tune! Some wicked strumming!
Cruel.

Neil! He's one of my favorites. CSN&Y, Crazyhorse, etc.
Very cool and from Noo Yawk. What a great city is my not so humble burg that it has such cultural diversity!
One can only say: "... A Gypsy mutant vacuum cleaner dances about a mysterious night time camp fire. Testoons. Dozens of imported castanets, clutched by the horrible suction ot its heavy duty force, waving with marginal erotic abandon in the midnight autumn air."
She's making me hungry

I love this song.      :o)     Connecticut

It is a Greek song. The band is based in New York.

Annabouboulla is a Greek word meaning a troublesome situation usually accompanied with a lot of noise and racket. It is also in my view a play of words with the singer's name which is Anna.

Definitely a play on the name. And being in NYC, there could be a Yiddish influence, where "Bubbela" would be a term of endearment.:-)

I'm not sure that this is a song in Greek, but I can see youse all Greek dancing to it, right enough. This sounds like Mari Boine singing in Sami - is that so? Quirky, intruiging and very RP. 8 from the fascinated Nottingham jury.

I honestly have no idea...  I just love this song...  great harmony and cool instrumentation...

here's what Wikipedia says—

Annabouboula is a Greek-American musical act based in New York City featuring vocalist Anna Paidoussi and producers George Sempepos and Christopher Lawrence. Annabouboula first released records and performed in 1980s and 1990s...

I checked out some other offerings from this group. Wasn't even nearly as compelling. Muchly disappointing.
But this, I think, is quite excellent.

Actually I was thinking a cover of One Tree Hill. Might have been pretty interesting as I hear the rest of this. Or, it may actually be that. Not quite able to translate the lyrics...
