I may rant sometimes about shitty music but I'm glad we all have diverse tastes.  If taste was all the same, the music space would constantly be a bland rehash of the same old stuff, and we'd be hearing Bill introducing Adele or Drake for the next song.

It never ceases to amaze me on what people think is a good song and what isn't. 
After reading the negative comments, my thoughts, well perhaps, but it never really occurred to me, until reading it.  

What we think is good or bad, just based on our perception.

Never heard of Goldfrapp before until about 2008. Her music is either lame as hell or sublime, nothing much in between. This song is sublime. I first heard Lovely Head on an ethereal/darkwave fan playlist 20 years ago.

No problem with the lyrics, but the way she says "Anna.... Bell" just really grates. Almost like the full name is too much of an effort, or doesn't belong with the first half of the name.

"Felt mountain" is an album I will never recover from, deep impact for a lifetime. Soundtrack written for a movie that is happening inside me. ...words fail, sorry for the rant.

I consider myself pretty eclectic when it comes to music of all styles, but I was completely thrown off by "Black Cherry" and just never re-connected with the band the way I had with their debut album.

Thanks to Bill, I've heard a couple of cuts of this last effort. They sound good, really good... But good like the second time you take a bite of something that tasted like alien yet totally familiar the first time...

This one song, though, is oh so close to the Goldfrapp that haunted me for years... maybe I'll end up really liking "Tales of us" after all...

The bicycle in the video is incorrect, anatomically-speaking. See 1:40 and onwards, in particular, noting the position of the bell on the handlebars. The bell is on the same side much later, at 6:20...
