Many nights have I heard her voice
Whisper my name without making a noise
Calling out from a pure, black void

Tears of sorrow or tears of joy
Drops in my cup as my mind is destroyed
Staring into a pure, black void

So what if I'm living out past the edge?
So what if I never come back again?

Many evils have I enjoyed
Prowling the night raising hell with the boys
Getting high on a pure, black void

I am only a nameless soul
Heading into a pure, black void

So what if I'm living out past the edge?
So what if I never come back again?

Where can you go when it's all in your head?
These are the last words that I ever said
Where can you go when it's all in your head?

I am only a nameless soul
Heading into a pure, black void
I am only a nameless soul
Heading into a pure, black void

"Vide Noir" = Black Void.  Appropriate!
Love it .. Got some of that cool vibe going on.
From Hoop's dark star to Huron's black void. Nice.
I love how this song sounds nothing like their other  stuff, but is still distinctly "Lord Huron."
Great suftft from a great group!
Groovy.
I'll have this with a slice of Cake.
They played Eugene on May 21 peeps were dancing in the aisles!
The zenith of Indie Rock as a genre.
Makes me want to learn the bass just to play that funky bassline!
Lord Huron is killin it. Love their sound.
These guys got it!
Lord Huron has made it into my regular rotation.  These guys are just cool
I like it! I never heard of him prior to RP. ThanxRP!
Great stuff!
I like Lord Huron - yes yes I do

The War on Drugs  =>> Spoon  =>>  Lord Huron

Great set William!!!
I've got sunshine, on a cloudy day
And when it's cold outside,
I've got the month of may

I thought this was My Girl, by the Temptations, starting out.
Lovin' this one. Very unique... nothing sounds like it.
When covid vaccines started being administered, first thing I thought about was Lord Huron due to comments on Radio Paradise. I can't be the only one. Not after reading some of the remarks on this song.

Well they are the masters of atmospheric tunes. It gets no more "mountainlike" than their tune: Ends Of The Earth. If you haven't heard that one yet... it is a must!
I like that this sounds like some sort of electronic retro throwback tune. Outstanding! A solid 8 for me.

Almost like a forgotten tune from a James Bond soundtrack.

I want my martini shaken.. not stirred please!

very good music about the abyss
Leave it to RP to help me expand my music universe!  Nice, catchy tune!
This has more than a hint of the Police's 'Synchronicity' album on this track, especially the approach to vocals, and there is certainly nothing wrong with that. A very intoxicating mix on this one.
their music has always been a composition of mystic, magic and legend
Hi, would love to listen to more Madrugada or Sivert Hoyem. My favorite songs are sleepwalking man and Electric. Please play that for me

Great idea, wrong venue. Music is where we go to 'get away' for a little break from it all.

Couldn't agree more - I'm definitely in this band of listeners! Reminds me of drunken, stoned, late nights around a good friend's house in the late 70s/early 80s! The musical knowledge I picked up on around that time is echoed by RP; just wish I'd discovered the station 20 years ago rather than 20 weeks!!!

RP has been like this since the beginning .    I was listening to it on dialup way back when i first got transplanted from toronto

This band was a great 'find' on RP.

Dig it.
This sounds like something that Chad VanGaalen would do in one of his less-weird moods. Nice.

Typical reaction when listening to Radioparadise :)

Just saying.. when 2 of the 3 components of your date are above 12, you probably don't need to clarify which format you're using.. ;)

Funny!  IIRC, when I posted this, I had just explained to a co-worker why the dates in our German-made software looked 'funny' to him....failing to remember that the average RP listener is above-average compared to the general population.  LLRP!!

Good on first listen. I wonder if this will last after a few more listens. Seems a bit too predictable to keep me interested in the long run.
The more I hear this the more I am coming to like it.
Undulating.

LLRP!

Segue Spoiler - the Medeski, Martin & Wood track Mami Gato paired with this was a great combo!

**EDIT** 7→8 today (7/13/18...or 13/7/18 for the non-American crowd ;-))

I really like the groove of the last minute of this track...and find myself wanting to check out the rest of the album.

Just caught these guys (and Shakey Graves) a couple nights ago.
They were definitely worth the price of admission
There's something about this song... it's catchy, hauntingly beautiful, and for some reason it feels like a classic rock song I've heard a million times and can listen to a million more. Would definitely like to hear more from this album
It's like the National discovered electronica.
I remember the first time I heard this track on RP, and I'm sold!  At a 9 now, and still needing to check out the entire disc.....Long Live RP!!

Niceeee !!!!
Cool mixture of sounds in this tune: electro-drums, sitar riffs, baritone guitar, etc...
{#Devil_pimp}zesty ! have listened to the whole cd is similar to strange trails but very diff at the same time
Same. Sounds like some expansion on their sound, a bit more electronic. Play more.
