I didn't realize that Robbie Robertson is Indigenous until watching the documentary, "Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World." It's a fascinating look at how Indigenous musicians from Canada and the U.S. helped to shape rock 'n' roll. Wonderful film!
This entire album is hauntingly beautiful.

And why do we care??
Kate Bush is my narrow minded reference.
well done. :)

Lovely, and strange. I wish the lyrics had a translation.

Our hearts are full and our minds are good
Our ancestors come and give us strength
Stand tall, sing, dance and never forget who you are
Or where you come from

Beautiful, haunting, a definite 9.

I had this as a Nine as well.   But since I keep pausing when this plays and it is so unusual --> Ten.
I keep expecting Robbie's saw blade of a voice to come in and ruin this. Thankfully he knew when to stay behind the mixing desk.
Beautiful, haunting, a definite 9.

Nothing better to complain about
I've had this album since it came out - truly glorious with a wide variety of influences and styles melded with tradional chants and beats. Stellar.

What a stunning beauty! 9
I've had this disc for a long time and it is really strong. First time I've heard it outside of my own playback devices. Thanks again Bill!

Its quiet alright but too strange for me to give it more then 6.

I was thinking the same, except I really like these female vocals, and have a feeling this will sound great with extra power....Long Live RP!!  7 for now with possible +1 later....
I was in a museum in South Dakota and this was playing over the sound system. If I'm not incorrect I think I bought the CD at the gift shop there. Haunting music.

BTW, second comment. RP must have just added this to their playlist. OK, third comment.

Wow! The first to comment. I like.
