Carry on
Through the storm
Lay your eyes on me
Come along
Through the mist
The best is yet to be
Jump straight into the ocean
Hold your head up high
Walk straight into the fire
'Cause me and you never dry
Into the eye of the storm
Stillness at its peak
Go ahead, beat the wave
The best is yet to be
Bounce crying through the ocean
For restless mountain high
Jump straight into the water
Let the ocean cleanse your mind
Carry on with me
Carry on with me
Jump straight into the fire
Hold your head up high
Walk straight into the water
Let the ocean cleanse your body
Don't be sorry
And carry on with me
Carry on with me
Jump straight into the water
Hold your head up high
Walk straight into the fire
Me and you never dry
And carry on with me
And carry on with me
With me, with me
Carry on with me
With me, with me
Carry on
Carry on with me
Through the storm
Lay your eyes on me
Come along
Through the mist
The best is yet to be
Jump straight into the ocean
Hold your head up high
Walk straight into the fire
'Cause me and you never dry
Into the eye of the storm
Stillness at its peak
Go ahead, beat the wave
The best is yet to be
Bounce crying through the ocean

Carry on with me
Carry on with me

Don't be sorry
And carry on with me
Carry on with me
Jump straight into the water
Hold your head up high
Walk straight into the fire
Me and you never dry
And carry on with me
And carry on with me
With me, with me
Carry on with me
With me, with me
Carry on
Carry on with me

A song Desperately needed now, in Trump America…
Hearing this for the first time, love the lyrics. Going to go jump into the frigid waters of the PNW and swim with sea lions and seals. Perfect motivation.
A full on "This is a Good Day." sort of tune.

Dunno about Rod Stewart, but sounds like his fellow countryman Paolo Nutini to me. Let's just all agree that he sings like a Scotsman. 😁

Yes, indeed!
But to me his name might also have been Unnar Gisli Rodstewardsson
This is fantastic!
How can you not love a song by a guy named Unnar Gísli Sigurmundsson?
Yes, indeed!

And song 🎵 played twice in 24 hours.
Understudy of Roddy Stewart? Bet he gets that a lot!
I wonder if that's a LinnDrum we're hearing.

Something about this reminds me of Rod Stewart.

Song is pretty good, but Oh My God - that album cover is near perfect!!!

Another artist I would have never heard of if not for RP!

I thought the same. I was listening at work and had to stop to check, because I don't think Bill has ever played Rod Stewart before.
Rod Stewart in the band Faces gets played on RP.
I can hear the vocal comparison myself too.

My very smart and beautiful wife turned to me the other day and said "That guy sounds like Rod Stewart". The irony here is that identifying a singer or song is not a strength of hers. I'm sure this means something but couldn't tell you what it was.
what a nice happy song :)
Whoa! Flashback to June of 2022 when the radio station I was listening to played this all...the...time.

Anyone else hear a little bit of early Rod Stewart in his voice? I like it!

BillG's got the knack of finding great acts from Iceland that's for sure. This is an 8 off the bat for me, liking the soul-stirring melodies. LLRP
I agree! I'm surmising that per capita, there are more music artists from Iceland on RP than any other country. One more reason that Iceland is on my bucket list of places I'd like to visit.

Yes, I would never have guessed there were so many talented Icelandic groups and in this case individuals.

Well I like it. One of those songs that I stopped what I was doing to read more about the artist. Thanks Bill.
