Do you recognize me
Here on this sleeper train
And do you feel the pain
Growing into the night, Mary

And I can feel the taste
Of your third birthday cake
Remember how it was
To hold you into my arms, Mary

It was there
The summer lights around
I was there
His hand upon my knees

And we go
Across this sunny streets
And we go
The day you died, Mary

And we go faster now
Together through these fields
Here on this sleeper train
And I can touch your face, Mary

The precious things we've done
Hidden under my skin
I let you sleep a while
I let you sleep a while, Mary

It was there
The summer lights around
I was there
His hand upon my knees

And we go
Across this sunny streets
And we go
The day you died, Mary

totally thought it was her...
It reminds me of Fernando by Abba.
At first I thought this was new Kate Bush..... had to do a double-take on the stats. I like it: 8.
Oddly enough there's a video on YouTube of Elizabeth Fraser from Cocteau Twins singing this in a studio.  I wonder if they were auditioning different people.
This was a nice transition from "A Day in the Life." The previous song ends in an E-major chord with a piano as the dominant instrument. The new piece opens with a haunting piano arpeggio chord in C# minor, which is E major's relative minor key. Bravi tutti!
Nice clean vocal recording .. touching track..A BIT LIKE MANDALAY
Enjoyed the transition from alt-J's Tessellate.  Thanks RP.

Yes. What's your problem?

**With a great segue to Deadmau5's "4ware" to follow; nice!**

Again 8/31/22 and for good reason
I was convinced this was Goldfrapp at first.

I have been a geek alright, have been a fan of what the numbers point to.
But I'm wondering if there is an actual reason for Thiersen (whom I admire) to put those cyphers on his album's cover, other than being cryptic for the sake of it...?
I'll look for answers to this, though.
Hi from Brittany, France, Bill & Rebecca.

I have been a fervent listener (and occasional $upporter) for several years. Although expecting the unexpected, I was still gobsmacked to hear some Yann Tiersen today!

I figure youse have a thing going on (among so many) with French female singers. Be sure to check out Rue des Cascades from Yann Tiersen with singer Claire Pichet!

Thanks for an outstanding 'job'!

Another new addition...I like all the new stuff we are getting!  Thanks BillG!

Cool vibe here...I'd listen again...folktronica you say?  Interesting...
Oh Radio Paradise, of course you have to distract me by using the cyphertext album name! Not that I understand what the solution refers to. The tennis player?
Today's a lazy stony Saturday in the PNW, and I'm finding this track to be exactly what my ears want to hear right now.  Going with a rare initial rating of 8;  Long Live RP and Folktronica!!
