They're gonna try to get a rise
To unseat you
They'll demagnetize your poles
And you know they're gonna try to delete you
So now you're atomized unwhole
You know better start making your apologies
Stop blaming technology
Blaming technology whoa
May you please start making your apologies oh
Blaming technology yea
Stop blaming technology
We're only human that's what they tell us

Here's what I say to them what is your point
Here's what I say to them: things fall apart

Now there's something in her eyes that completes you
Every time she cries it brings you low
And just the merest sigh can defeat you
How can you be so wise and still not know?
You know better start making your apologies
Stop blaming technology
Blaming technology whoa
May you please start making your apologies oh
Blaming technology yea
Blaming technology whoa
We're only human
That's what we do

Here's what I say to them what is your point
Here's what I say to them
Here's what I say to them things fall apart

Making your apologies oh
Blaming technology yea
Blaming technology whoa

Start making your apologies oh
Blaming technology yea
Blaming technology whoa

First time through, it's clearly as listed in the lyrics, "We're only human, That's what we do."

Second time through, it's obviously NOT those same lines, but I could not hear it clearly enough to make a guess.

Thurman Smutney delivers again
I know this is a bit snarky to those now in the grips of it but this song does sum up a certain time and period in my life.  It was a time of....reassessment.  I went on to do okay, well informed by the experience.

So for today in looking at the news regarding all those young high-tech, and now laid off, workers I suggest listening to this and taking it to heart.  You can lose everything you had, and survive starting over from scratch.  Trust me on this.   Though maybe without that hellacious thumping sax as a sonic backdrop.

Whistling?  Pizzicato strings?  Must be new Andrew Bird!

By definition a rock can only be pseudo-intellectual. Keep banging them together if that is your own level of evolution...

I wonder why you came to tell us this?  Is it that you feel intellectually inferior?  Perhaps you should focus on yourself....  take a class, get some therapy, make some friends?

Everything from Andrew Bird is a 9. No apologies!
Less of this please.

for the first time in ages, really looking forward to seeing an artist in concert. again thanks RP for the intro to Mr. Bird

We just saw him at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, CA. He was great, as was his killer little band! Iron and wine co-headlined, and he was also stellar! They did a few songs together as an acoustic duo. Great night!

On tour! seeing him at New Belgium at the end of the month.
New album is out today, with a live performance at 12 PT!
Such a fun and musical piece!
Bird is a man of many talents and that reflects in the way you can enjoy his creativity; do you like to listen to complex arrangements and sonorous landscapes? - Check
Do you like to hear a good story with a great accompaniment? - Check!
Lovely voice, lovely way of looking at things and on top of that the man can make a correct and poignant comment on the state of society when all one wants  to do is shut off and make it all go away.
Possibly an unpopular opinion but I really like recent stuff from the Bird-man here. Looking forward to this album as My finest work yet (cheeky fucking name but I agree it's in with a shout of that) and Are you serious are my favourite albums of his.
2 secs and I knew it was him. What a unique sound Bird has. Such a talent.

Beethoven!
This is a very enjoyable and well-crafted song. And I really like the cover art.
New Andrew Bird!!  But will he whistle... edge of my seat...   Yep there it is!!!    😙
First Post of New Song! Too bad about the song...
