I need to feel grounded
I need to feel my feet touch the earth
I need to feel rooted
I need to feel the sunlight on my skin
To feel warm within
And when I start to spin

You ground me
When I'm so far
You surround me
You bring me back to centre

You calm me
When I'm in the middle of a storm
You call to me
You bring me back to centre

I need to slow down
I've been coming and going so much since my birth
And when I am rooted
I can feel connected to the earth

You ground me
When I'm so far
You surround me
You bring me back to centre

You calm me
When I'm in the middle of a storm
You call to me
You bring me back to centre

Wow, very cool. Thank you for the intro, RP. Where else is an old fart born in the 60's going to hear awesome new talent like this?

Ditto, substituting 60s with fifties...
At first I wasn't a fan of the vocal style in the first verse, but it kept growing on me. The harmonies and the eastern influences with the tabla and sitar are really nice.
I just noticed that there is a guest vocalist in this; I was about to be seriously impressed if she was doing all the vocals in this song.
Love it, love it, love it!
As William introduced this tune calling it an ear worm., I couldn't agree more, particularly the chorus.

It's because she spelled center as that dumb British/Canadian "centre".  That doesn't even make sense.  Seems that would be pronounced like "sentry."  Or perhaps "Santa."

"The scchhedule 40 aluminium tube was marked at its centre using red coloured paint."

I do like this song though.  I give it a 9.

The correct spelling of "centre" is "centre".  At least in Britain, which is where English comes from (if you're in doubt, look at the relationship between "English" and "England", and then "England" and "Britain").
Double plus good!! Logged in to say YAY
Oh, I can't believe that Bill has succumbed to playing holiday songs... "You bring me back to Santa."
Love the rhythm, love the message.  It grooves.

Not sure if you're being ironic here, but English pronounciation doesn't always make sense - in my opinion. See though vs. enough.
And I like that "dumb" British English, that's what I learned 40 years ago.

Edit: funny enough I just read that
Learned is the generally accepted way of spelling it in the United States and Canada, while the rest of the English-speaking world seems to prefer learnt for now.
🍻
She has a Morcheeba sound to her voice.
Very beautiful.
Beautiful production - complex yet clear.

Went looking to buy the album, but it seems everything she has is streamed. Finally did find another album of hers and got it. Listened to it last night. It was all good. Highly recommended.

I like this a lot... I like the raw, unpolished, wistful qualities of her voice... I also like how she ends the song with the mantra for Peace, Happiness, and Freedom.
This song exemplifies why I love Radio Paradise. Never in a million years would I have discovered this brilliant song if I hadn't listened to this station!
Hello darkness my old friend..
Another enticing intro from the RP team... I'm forever in your debt.

Another one to add to the list of young uns, doing new stuff I like,, along with Ren, K. Flay and the like.

Hell yes to Ren!!  I strongly suggest folks check out his song* "Hi Ren" on YT, and... wait a sec...are there Ren tracks in the RP library? I'm off to check, and oh boy I sure hope so. I'll edit my response if I find him.

*song really isn't the most appropriate word for  "Hi "Ren". Performance, or mini-opera fit better.  He's what many call 'Bardcore', fucking awesome mates!!
LLRP!!
always catches my attention in a great way when this comes on.
7 --> 8. I like it more each time I hear it. Lovely voice and interesting instrumentation.
I'm not really sure how to get people to listen to a submission to play on RP, but since this is sorta reggae and the song/group is reggae I figured I would post their song here that I think would fit well on RP.

Thanks

Yeah, the start grabbed my attention as well, but the screechy voice makes me want to bury it.
This is the definition of an ear worm for me. Starting w/ an 8, love her voice and the melody hook.
The lyrics to this song, according to GeniusLyrics:

[Intro]
I need to feel grounded
I need to feel my feet touch the earth
I need to feel rooted
I need to feel the sunlight on my skin
To feel warm within
And when I start to spin

[Chorus]
You ground me
When I'm so far
You surround me
You bring me back to centre

You calm me
When I'm in the middle of a storm
You call to me
You bring me back to centre

[Verse]
I need to slow down
I've been coming and going so much since my birth
And when I am rooted
I can feel connected to the earth

[Chrorus]
You ground me
When I'm so far
You surround me
You bring me back to centre
You calm me
When I'm in the middle of a storm
You call to me
You bring me back to centre

I like this. I like the rhythm and the vocalisations - most excellent.
The start really grabbed my attention. Dig it.
Fresh new music on RP.
Unknown artist to me, once again.
Her voice, at the start of this song anyway,
sounded very similar to the Ricky Lee Jones song preceding it.
