saw him play in 2023, age 79, and just rocking. ahem, jazz-funk-fusioning of course. anyway - came to the stage with a walking cane and took a few slow steps up to the drumset and then, well, just a very energetic performance, not really different from live recordings 40 or so years earlier. just takes the fear of getting older off a bit
