Keep on chasing the wrong guy" a tip to Bowie?
It has a similar tempo (like a lot of "trip-hop" does), but the melody and chorus are very different.
PERFECT segue from Luna.
Reads familiar...in the best way!

amen!
I loathe hip-hop and rap (learn to feckin' sing, guys ) so if Morcheeba is hip-hop then I must unknowingly have had a life-changing conversion so dramatic it would make St Paul on the Road to Damascus look like a passing fancy. This song is smoother than mercury on ice, and that's smooth. 7 from the Nottingham jury.
you a funny guy - amongst other things...

So, who is the lead Trip Hop band?
I know why I loathe hip hop and rap. The social headspace reminds me of the sub-cultures that supported totalitarian fascism in the early and mid-20th century. That and most of the music sucks.
That is one of the most curious associations (or rationalizations) I have ever read.
Yeah, I don't get it either. I agree that hip hop and rap by and large really suck though.

So, who is the lead Trip Hop band?
True-that — TRIP HOP people! It is quite different than hip-hop or rap. In my opinion, it is degrading to the Trip Hop genre to call it a "sub-genre".

Morcheeba actually falls under a Hip-Hop sub-genre known as Trip-Hop. . . so you can safely go back to loathing hip-hop and rap. . .

"...smoother than mercury on ice..." — I love that turn of phrase. Just love it. It's a great description of this tune.
Thanks explains a lot of things. Thanks vandal. Now fred and I can relax and go back to our mutually felt and deeply entrenched dislike of hip-hop and rap.
Cheeba? I always thought it was short for weed, err Mary Jane, err marijuana.

check out some of the artists mentioned in that article.
top 40 commercial hip hop sucks worse than top 40 commercial rock.
but that is no reason to throw the baby out.

I've always heard Morcheeba described more as "Down-Tempo" or "Lounge/Exotica". I guess they're all just arbitrary labels anyhow. It's good music no matter what it's labeled as.
ganja. cheeba = ganja.
is that sarcasm?
giyf - cheeba - more cheeba get it now?
BTW, Skye already released a solo album in 2006 with a new one in production, go check it out.
