I can sense it
Something important,
Is about to happen
It's coming up

It takes courage to enjoy it
The hardcore and the gentle,
Big time sensuality

We just met,
And I know I'm a bit too intimate,
But something huge is coming up,
And we're both included

It takes courage to enjoy it
The hardcore and the gentle,
Big time sensuality

I don't know my future after this weekend
And I don't want to

It takes courage to enjoy it
The hardcore and the gentle
Big time sensuality

Hey - why isn't the Diddy GIF visible anymore. Total belly laugh!
She do be a little treasure.
There are songs that come across the RP airwaves that make me drop what I'm doing to make sure I rated it an 8 or above. This one gets me every time.
yep, I’d probably sing this way if my hot springs were suddenly cold…
Chair dancing here in front of my computer.
Fabulous song, fabulous Icelandic sweater
the world would be a much less colourful place without Björk.
Yeah it's Bjork, but I wish there was some credit for the band.  Those are some good synth riffs.  I'm guessing that's not Hal Blaine and the Wrecking Crew, lol.
Chair dancing in front of the computer. So are you. Yes you are.
Loved this song the album first came out. Come on sing it Bjork!
Interesting combination of disco and Sprechgesang (spoken singing).
I think she's channeling a bit of Bobcat Goldthwait in there occasionally...
It's interesting that I never heard this song until maybe 2008.  Clear Channel and commercial FM radio pretty much screwed me out of a lot of years of good music.  Back then I had no idea where to look for this stuff.
Allman Bros  ... Bill's comments ... Bjork

Because of course.
It take Churredge   Love Bjork
Bjork is very much welcome - such gems in her catalogue, for me notably on the Vespertine album. 👍
There was a BBC radio program transmitted around 6pm fronted by Ned Sherrin called Loose Ends. He'd have the likes of Hiatt and Bjork on the show if they were in the UK generally and London particularly. Driving home one Saturday Bjork was being interviewed. Some so so mumble and then you are going to sing for us from Sherrin. Off  she went unaccompanied, unfazed and absolutely pitch perfect and eccentric. Been  a fan ever since..
Everlasting Bjork   Loooovely.....
Our special little elf Icelandic mythical creature

Not even close.
If you've never seen the film 'Dancer in the Dark', in which Bjork starred and wrote the soundtrack, I highly recommend it. It is some of her best music, IMHO.

The description below does not do justice to the haunting, imaginative, and tragic nature of the film.

Dancer in the DarkDancer
in the Dark is a 2000 English-language Danish musical melodrama film
written and directed by Lars von Trier. It stars Icelandic musician
Björk as a daydreaming immigrant factory worker who suffers from a
degenerative eye condition and is saving up to pay for an operation to
prevent her young son from suffering the same fate.Wikipedia
Music seems to be very therapeutic for this singer.

It certainly did.  She smashed me around the ear with it for smiling at the wrong time.  I still love her though.
Love the growl!

Bump to the top ... in case you missed it.  This song is just ... just ... just ... fun!  (although she's sure pumping out the sensuality stuff.)
Thanks Bill and Rebecca. I don't where else we would get Lady Gaga, Derek Trucks and Bjork in the same half hour. No place else on radio.
Phone rings...

"Hello... this is the Dublin Dating Agency - how may I help you today?"

"Yes, I am on a blind date that you arranged for me but the girl is some crazy bitch from Iceland!"

"Oh dear - I am sorry but there seems to be a typo mistake - we have mixed up Iceland and Ireland in your notes. I am terribly sorry - I will arrange another date on Friday night for you with an Irish girl... her name is... Sinead O'Connor.  Let us know how that goes will you?".

"Uh - OK thank you".

He he.....

Always Bjork
Bill, did you program something from her last album, Utopia? It has truly excellent eclectic material. Worth of RP!
I miss the P-Diddy GIF.

Was the other (dancy) version mixed by Goldie?
Looking forward to seein Björk at Eden Sessions June 2018

Hey Hillsborough twin, how do you get those darned bananas to sync with the music!
This was the 2nd song on a mixTAPE I was given in the early days of a burgeoning romance.
It would be hard for Bjork to write a protest song.
Nobody would know what's she's talking about.
I LOVE HER

Recreates the feeling of raw sensuality perfectly!

I can't believe this is nearly 25 years old - she still seems like a 'new' talent to me.

She simply doesn't have the same filters ordinary people have, so can make astonishing connections, ones that often baffle and delight her listeners. Truly, a spirit flying high!

She is wonderfully strange and beautiful...love this song

This gif makes me strangely happy....like a Flight of the Concords kind of happy.  I would make up my own script, but don't think I can surpass that one!

OK.  I just upped my rating from a 7 to an 8.  I just find this beat and her voice unstoppable.  I especially like her growls.

Love this album. So fun & energetic, a beautiful voice (despite/because of its quirkiness).

I liked this back in 1993. Now it sounds silly. Not enough actual music. Hardly any in fact. Almost none whatsoever. Virtually bereft of any tune of any kind.

I look forward to you starting your own radio station, so I can immediately not listen to it and crap on the stuff I don't like.  Because that would be dumb and a waste of time.
Awful version of a song I love
Get those old bones out of the chair (potatoe) and move a little around the room. Totally cheerful and uplifting!!!

This song rocks and Ms. B-Jork is a hottie.  (And I'm serious about both proclamations.)
Nice!

The least offensive of any Bjork song I've yet heard. Not a high bar, I understand, but that's all I can find to praise.

Edit May 23; thanks RP for taking down this hateful post.
This song is growing on me. I actually took the time to rate it. This song defines Björk imho.
