I can't seem to face up to the facts
I'm tense and nervous and I can't relax
I can't sleep, 'cause my bed's on fire
Don't touch me, I'm a real live wire
Psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est?
Fa fa-fa fa, fa-fa fa-fa fa-far better
Run run-run run, run run-run away
Oh-ho-ho
Psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est?
Fa fa-fa fa, fa-fa fa-fa fa-far better
Run run-run run, run run-run away
Oh-ho-ho-ho, aye-yi-yi-yi-yi, ooh
You start a conversation, you can't even finish it
You're talking a lot, but you're not saying anything
When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed
Say something once, why say it again?
Psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est?
Fa fa-fa fa, fa-fa fa-fa fa-far better

Ce que j'ai fait ce soir-là
Ce qu'elle a dit ce soir-là
Réalisant mon espoir
Je me lance vers la gloire
Okay
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
We are vain and we are blind
I hate people when they're not polite

Your ageist statement is both petty and pathetic. You've chosen to use the Heads as an object, a vehicle to launch your unrelated diatribe against "the elderly."
Perhaps you need to face the possibility that it is you who are aging less than gracefully and these older cuts remind you of that. Maybe you're just lashing out because the newer material makes you feel younger and listening to them, or publicly advocating their inclusion here, helps you mask your fear of growing older.
Either way, when you post this kind of poorly thought out drivel it only serves to irk those of us who not only pursue new music with a passion, but appreciate the "old stuff" just as passionately.
From one geezer to another: Get over yourself.
OMG!! You are relentless, but well said. Thanks and of course I agree 100%.

The complete concert is on YouTube. The energy and pure joy this live concert conveys keeps amazing me.

One of those songs that I remember where I was the first time I heard it, and I have a terrible memory.
david byrne :pleading: musical genius. this is music to dance around incoherently to tbh! sounds of the summer.
Psycho Chicken, The Fools: What began with a friend of frontman Mike Girard clucking like a chicken over the Talking Heads song “Psycho Killer” at a bar soon became a four-track basement recording that was being broadcast all over New England radio in 1979.
Is David wearing a silk or linen suit?

I saw the Stop Making Sense tour at the Municipal Auditorium in New Orleans. I've seen a lot of shows, and this one sticks out as far and away the best live show I've ever seen. It's funny as Tina was way pregnant when I saw the show, where she was not pregnant in the movie.
Every now and then I'll cue up the movie and really crank up the volume. The first time i did it, my kids were like, "What in the world is this?". After a few songs, we're all dancing in the living room!
I've been a 'Heads fan from the very beginning and this was an absolutely superb experience.

It's amazing to think that such creative, inspired music was being made in 1984 amid so much bad pop schlock. Although the pop music of today pales by comparison to 1984. Damn, I'm caught in a musical judgement relativity loop...

Saw this tour at SPAC. In honor of Spinal Tap, I'd like to give this song an "11". Looped this song on tape(!!), when I drove to Syracuse to take a psych test when getting hired on at a nuke. They hired me, now I'm getting ready to retire. Ah the memories of this song. Just saw Angelique Kidjo's reinterpretation of "Remain in Light" this summer. Yes, I am a fan.

This is fun to hear because it reminds you of the movie. Gave it an 8, but I'd give the stripped down original a 9.

I here this and think of it has the movie's opening, and smile. I wonder how much less I would like it if I hadn't seen the movie.
Speaking of whichI really wish the disc had all the songs on the film Long ago, I dubbed my VHS Hifi tape of the movie onto a cassette to listen into the car and other places. From one dead format to another and now I can listen to neither. All that i is left is the CD and it is missing a lot.

Not to mention the lost art of the mix tape. I created a mix tape for my friends when we graduated from high school. I lost touch with them, but I wonder whether anyone besides me has a copy. High Fidelity, indeed.

Ah yes ... back in the Ferric Oxide Age, one of my favorite cassette tapes was the soundtrack to "Stop Making Sense" - not the album, but a straight dub of the movie soundtrack. I cut one of the Tom Tom Club tracks so it fit onto a 90-minute cassette, and it was great! (Hmm ... how to explain a recording medium that was only 45 minutes long to Modern Youth? Puzzling ...)

The sound engineer comes on the studio PA and says something like "That was great but maybe just a little flat in spots." to which Neil replies "It's my style man! It's my style."

Oh well. All good things must come to end I suppose...Thanks Mr. Landreth while it lasted.
Generally, I dislike TH and David Byrne. However, our dog has a habit of getting so cranked up that she runs around the house like a mad dog and will trample anyone in her way. For being only a little over 50 lbs, she doesn't mess around. Anyway, whenever Josie goes nuts, my wife starts singing "Psycho Doggie" to the tune of this song. Now I find myself almost liking Psycho Killer.
Everyone in my trailer park LOVES songs about psychotic murderers!
I would give the LIVE version a solid TEN!!!
