With the lights low
I'm falling through the air
No escape from this place
I just need to cry
One more time, coz tears won't hold forever

With the noise gone
I'm chasing lullabies
Always fading
I watch, and it's no surprise
Time is still, and my heart won't hold forever

Still can't see
Even when the lights are high
That's my mind chasing time
To stay alive
These eyes have opened for the first time

And I
I can't run away
From myself
Like yesterday
And I
I'll change my ways
Someday
Someday Soon

All the lights stopped flashing red
This time I can run to the noise instead
These eyes have opened for the first time

And I
I can't run away
From myself
Like yesterday
And I
I'll change my ways
Someday
Someday Soon

The hollow-body guitar playing in this is hypnotic!

You'd think at least one of those names would ring a bell with you...

Good Tune! I never heard of them before. Thanx RP!
Reminds me of a song from the band other lives.

Bill, why don't you surrender RadioParadise to the nearest Indian you find and when he doesn't want it just admit that you're wrong.
North America was not the paradise you envisioned before the white man came.  Indian tribes were are war killing each other.  Do I need to go on with basic History 101?   Oh yes, that was all a lie.   Give up your possessions if you are sincere in your propaganda....

I find it relaxing,  yet a bit sad. It could be due to the mood I am in. The overall tone of this tune reminds me of some of the music from the late 80s, example,  the band the Church.

I hear that as well, but my first thought was "is this a remake of a Coldplay track?!"
I totally thought this was Great Northern. They sound nearly identical. Not that I'm complaining, we haven't had a new album from Great Northern since 2008.
totally dig this tune.
Great voice & guitar.mediocre lyrics

I guess it depends on what your definition of "musicality" is.  It seems that the "the state of music today" is one with a wider variety of musical styles being produced and released than there was forty or fifty years ago; whether it's "good" or not is still in the ears of the listeners.  One relatively obscure, Australian band certainly cannot be the single gauge for determining "the state of music today".

I thought this sounded like Other Lives. Anyone else hear it?
I get Earlimart out of these guys. Same kind of guy and girl harmony's. Also The XX.
Check out Earlimart's newest CD System Preferences
I thought it was The Cranberries

This is kinda weird.

I don't hear the same melody - there are (three-or-four-note) phrases in some parts that may sound like that song.  "Rivers Of Babylon" (The Melodians - 1970 - the Boney M version was a cover) has a nursery-rhyme type of melody which can be "heard" in a whole lot of songs - most of which as quite old.  What I find a little weird (in a good way) is that cover art.

Maybe it's because it's an imported CD.

Love the way the guitar mirrors her voice
So, let's put Howling Bells and Broken Bells together and just call them the Effin' Bells.  I prefer wind chimes.

I like this song, though... {#Mrgreen}

Good song, sounds like MWP from The Church on guitar....
Sounds a lot like The Rosebuds who unfortunately haven't made it to the RP playlist yet.

Nice album cover :)

Thoug reminds of Grand Lee Buffalo. As one has written before :)

Strikes a chord with me this morning.
"someday soon ..." this song will end {#Pray}
Sounds exactly like a Grant Lee Phillips song but not as good...
Its like a very long intro,,,never really takes off,a #6
Bleh :P  There's no harmony in the thing.  All unison, very uninteresting instrumental part.  The melody is nice, but I could really do without all those lazy-sounding slides.

the very beginning fade in of this song reminds me of the cure's "a night like this"
I have always loved this song. The guitars are great and her voice is soooooooo sexy.
It could be the fine Gentleman Jack, but this song is grabbin' me.

The beginning of this intro reminded me quite a bit of Poe's "Hey Pretty." Perhaps an idea for a song segue? EDIT: And apparently I thought it sounded like the beginning of a different Poe song 2 years ago... newwavegurly wrote:
Okay, since everyone else has made mention of other artists in regards to this one... Every time this song comes on, the beginning fakes me out. I always think it's going to be "Wild" by Poe. Some of the orchestration sounds similar as well.
Good ol' shoegaze. :)
Sounds a lot like Joy Zipper, to me. I had to check AMG to see if this was a side-band or something of the Joy Zipper folks. Doesn't appear to be. I like it.

I know nothing about this and don't recall hearing this before, but I kind of like this. You know all you people who bitch about so-called, "depressing music," some of us actually like stuff that's a bit more thoughtful and introspective. Not everything has to be rocking and upbeat. This is a station for those with "eclectic" musical taste, which means you're going to hear a lot of stuff that you might not own in your collection.

Too true, the start shows great promise, but the robotic strumming machine gets a bit dull after a couple of minutes. Besides the tune never lets rip. Check out The Pillows for similar guitar sounds combined with some truly amazing powergrooves.
