RP kinda makes you do that.  It's a good problem to have!

September 15th, 1972. Will that do?

I prefer June 21, 1994.  That was a good Summer Solstice day from what I remember.
Oriental elevator music?

Too funny!   GREAT TUNE!!  Thanx RP!

The more I hear this, the more I like it!!  Thanx RP!
Great! I never heard them before. Thanx RP!
Just arrived in Puerto Vallarta for the winter and it is so nice to hear Willie and Lobo again. We first heard them here 25 yrs ago at the Mama Mia cafe. Willie is no longer with us but Lobo carries on. Hope to hear him live again this year.
Love this album. This is another one RP introduced me to and I have purchased.

I was  going to respond but you posted to RP 15 years ago. You're probably dead by now.

God, I haven't been on a stoned date for a long, long time...
agreed! Thank you for saying what I thought! PeaceInIraq wrote:

Full of Eastern Promise,  perhaps !?

Tomorrow? 12 August 2020
We were sitting in a bar in San Miguel de Allende, and the band started playing behind me. I said to my friends, wow, they're doing a great job with that Willie and Lobo song.  Turns out there was a good reason.
Long live RP!
Put it right up there with Ponte and Grapelli.
Speaking of would love to hear from those two also.
I need a date.
Nice to hear Willy & Lobo again, as I sit in their musical home, Puerta Vallarta. First heard them here 20 years ago at the long-gone 'Mama Mia's', and again last summer. Willy has left us but Lobo plays on for our enjoyment.
That violin is saying "fijn avond" - must be time to stop work and go home

it's beautiful... followed by joy division?
Digging this sound. Reminds me a bit of some of Loreena McKennitt's instrumental stuff.
Awesome sauce, howlin' to the moon with this one
Easy 9 from yo boy
I felt like spaceship burning in the atmosphere. Great job from great band

Sounds a bit like Dave Matthews Band song 'Minarets'. Cool track!

Yes (I guess...that DM track isn't in my memory) or Lorena McKennit.  But this is greatgreat stuff.
The vocals sound like the ones from Indian Ocean (Kandisa). Sb knows who is singing in "lost caravan"?
Feh!

I used to see Willie & Lobo in Puerto Vallarta for years. Always a good night, under the stars, listening to beautiful music by the ocean. Actually they played mostly under the bridge by the river. I now live in Puerto Escondido and run a music night at The Split Coconut. We get violin players from Mexico City and great musicians from all over the world. Last week I had a classical violin player jamming to Copperhead Road. Music is the International language. Come join us on the beach for a good time. Buena suerte
We first saw them in PV at Moma Mia in 1995 and many times since. Willy passed away a few years ago but Lobo is still playing with a new partner Geo. They are in PV in Jan. 2019.
We never tire of hearing them.

says that the main theme is by Jeff Beal, so I'm guessing no.

So east european atmosphere on this piece

I keep saying I have to go to their New year's bash, but it looks like somebody's gonna croak before I have the chance. Could be me.
I like it a lot!  8 out of 10 for me.
Sounds of Bruce Cockburn in there?  Anyone else pick it up as such?
The intro may either be inspired or have inspired the intro to Prince's 'The Max' on the album 'O(->'. I have to compare issue dates...

And a grand party it was!
Having just attended a Cirque de Soleil production in San Francisco yesterday, this track could have been lifted from it.  Love it...
I can only compare this to "No Quarter', and as such, rate it a 3, at best.
songs like this make RP WONDERFUL! I know my kids will mature to enjoy the variety found here.
{#Boohoo}   not bad.
Quite likeable!
My endlessly, profoundly cranky, pissed-off, sour-puss father-in-law turned me on to Willie and Lobo ... I always knew there was a heart in there somewhere.
It. Is. Saturday afternoon. Heck it is closing on night in these frigid northern wastes. I. Do. Not. Need. To. Be. Put. To. Sleep.

Snooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
This is excellent!
I don't know who the heck these guys are, but I like their music!  It reminds me a bit of the intro music to the TV show "Deadwood."

Pretty cool music, where else ya gonna hear stuff like this but RP
Really everybody love this one? Me NO! {#Snooty}

Quit feckin' SHOUTING! If you think you'll get your way by posting messages in 36pt you're out of tune with the RP vibe. Oh, and Bill and Becky don't play full albums, so there are 2 chances of your "dare" being taken up: fat and slim (and Slim just left town).

Saw them perform this on their first final tour.

Good stuff.
The first few seconds of this made me feel like I was about to watch Babylon 5.
I DARE YOU TO PLAY THIS ENTIRE ALBUM
Excellent transition from Delirium (A Poem from Byzantium) to Willie and Lobo (Lost Caravan)!

Very nice change of pace for this afternoon of rather dull but important work. Thanks.
Giddyup go camel!
Nice mix and laid back for wind down of my mind.
I picture camels rocking me to the beat as we sway to and fro traveling through the sand as it is blown hotly into my face as the sun sets. A song that can transport me from the office to the dunes can't be that bad. I like it! I need a drink of water...
This is sweet, man. I feel so adventurous.

That violin work sounds very much like the Polish band Kroke. I'm going to have to upload some of their stuff, hopefully it wont be sorried. ;)
ok, this is some good stuff.
