We get high in back seat of cars
We break into mobile homes
We go to sleep to Shake Appeal
Never wake up on our own

And that's the way we get by
Way we get by
And that's the way we get by
Way we get by

We go out in stormy weather
We rarely practice discern
We make love to Some Weird Sin
We seek out the taciturn

And that's the way we get by
Way we get by
And that's the way we get by
Way we get by

We found a new kind of dance in a magazine
Tried it out it's like nothing you ever seen
You sweet talk like a cop and you know it
You bought a new bag of pot, said let's make a new start

And that's the way to my heart
The way to my heart

That's the way we get by
Way we get by

We get high in back seats of cars
We put faith in our concerns
Fall in love to Down on the Street
We believe in the sum of ourselves

I said that's the way we get by

This song sounds like the theme for a bad late-70s/early-80s sitcom.

This song has us dancing...  love it...

Excellent stuff from Britt Daniel but I always have to check if it's Spoon or newer Divine Fits music.  Speaking of which...Bill, let's get some Fits on here!!
I would go to Amazon and pull a list of their most popular mp3s and buy the top 10. This advice comes from a 40-something Dad raised on concept albums so the irony doesn't escape me.
Diggin' it! Spoon has been REALLY growing on me recently.....if any big Spoon fans can recommend their best couple of albums I'd be much obliged!
Thought I had been listening to this for longer. Weird time compression if it was 2008.
Right, 2002.

4 Spoon Tunes on STF soundtrack including TWWGB. One of the Spoon tunes on the soundtrack grabbed me when played on RP and picked the disc up. Nice selection of tunes.

This really reminds me of the Replacements.
Kill the Moonlight came out way before 2008..

No, O.C. actually. Maybe not as immediately catchy as some of their other work, but me likes it too!

I like. It fled shaking!
