The day you lie next to me,butterflies in the sky
the other day I hate you more than ever
you are the one, you're nobody, you're everything I care,
but I don't know if I'll love you forever.
Oh what crazy things I say
I always knew we're meant to be together,
but oh my something keeps saying no
and in the end I'll say "Goodbye My Lover".
Sitting here,I'm all alone,I'm smoking in the dark
keep wondering "Hey baby should I have left you?"
if I believed in fairy tales then surely I would know
that all my dreams came true the day I met you.
Oh what crazy things I say,
I always knew there would be no tomorrow
and oh my everything has stopped
and in the end my heart is full of sorrow.
Oh what crazy things I say,
I always knew we're meant to be together,
but oh my something keeps saying no
and in the end I'll say "Goodbye My Lover".

Bill and Rebecca, I love this genre, thank you!! I have never heard Madredeus on here…they are perfect for RP!!!!
orgasmic organ
Bill, this reminds me a little like Madredeus from Portugal, another group I would love to hear on RP;-)
Beautiful.
I hope someone will make a movie with this tune as the soundtrack. I'll watch it.
It'sa Greek to me -- and I LOVE IT, love it, love it... Thanks, RP!

GREAT! The more I hear this, the more I like it. Thanx RP!
EXCELLENT! I never heard of them before. That is why we come here. Thanx RP!
This Song is awesome. And Woke is like Yeti, none of them exists.

Couldn't agree more. I keep hearing "Tango Till They’re Sore"...
Bit of a Tom Waits vibe to it, at least to me.

There is only ONE TUNE by him on the RP playlist! PLEASE ADD MORE TUNES! Thank You!
It took a bit of digging but I finally discovered who the vocalist is:
Valia Athanasiadou
Valia Athanasiadou
the melody.. blissful ..
Had to bump from 7 to 8.
Bit of a Tom Waits vibe to it, at least to me.

Any song with organ music in it automatically gets bumped two points, 6 -> 8. Pipe organs bump +4.
The roller rink organ makes it work for me--the fun balance of her thin, reedy voice with the masculine "thick" organ reedy sound. Cool.

This is quite enjoyable.
Same here....7 to 8 rating bump and will need to check out MORE from this album....Long Live RP!!
For a moment there I thought it was the intro to Narcos.
Continental musicians have such a charming way with English language. Americans and Brits can't get away with this.

Feels like a European village/city rainy day small pub or cafe, strong drink, maybe coffee or clear liquid that makes my eyes water.
Not early, not late...maybe an afternoon after a night before and morning after with new found friend... Just many thoughts, impressions all coming too fast to think about. Just accept, remember and plan for deeper reflection later.
Thanks Bill/RP
That's really lovely. I could place myself in the heart of your story with this music and her voice. Merci!

Wacky - but I think I like it
Incredible. Has everything from South American to Mediterranean sounds and melodies in it, and haunting, sensual vocals. Dig it!
I almost wish that Bill hadn't added the Play Something Different option, since i need to be exposed to music that challenges me without immediately eighty-sixing it, as I'm inclined to do with this one.

You're assuming that he does. I wonder whether the booze, cigarettes and various stimulants--including those taking a human form--explain a lot of Tom's success and appeal.

That just happened again.... (the transition between two (three) tracks) anyone would have thought there is a reel going round?? Surely not Bill.....
Interesting juxtaposition with The Who's "The Rock/Love, Reign O'er Me." The keyboards and vocals on this track are significantly better!

No thanks.....some outdated cantina down south might play this.....tolerable except for the roller rink organ
Makes me reminiscent about days when I was carefree

Just what I was thinking. This would be good sitting on the beach, in a bar, eating some tzatziki, sardines and fried cheese, drinking ouzo while she was playing in the corner.

The roller-rink organ solo kind of takes away from the rest of it. Still, not bad.
Nothing to complain about. Smooth and warm.
Sounds a bit like a peaceful day on a place in the middle of Madrid.

Baguette, anyone? Has a French feel.

If Tom Waits came back in the next life as a Spanish woman, he might write something like this.

Wonder if that's a real b3?
Nice!

Sounds like something from 1940's or 50's.
Ouch... that organ really kills the vibe.
