As it sleeps on the wing
Does it long for the summer
As it flies home for spring
Does daisy feel a sadness
At the last rays of sun
Does the wind feel a gladness
At the work that it's done
I won't go making mountains
Out of molehills
Anymore
I won't go chasing windmills
Round in circles
Anymore
I won't go preaching sermons
To the choir what's it for?
I won't go through the motions anymore
Does the river ever wonder
What will come round the bend?
As it twists and meanders
Down its slow descent
I looked out over London
With my last cup of tea
My gaze was returned by
Grey cloud and steel
Treacly crap searching for meaning. Please stop the torture.
Very cool song! Thanks RP
Edit: If I may, I'm not sure swallows sleep on the wing. Swifts do. I love the lyrics, though.
Not normally an issue for most tracks, but I have to say this is coming up too much these recent weeks. And again, grateful for PSD.
Apparently William notices these types of reactions. He just commented on the 'skip' button after this one played.
For crying out loud, you are wasting money!
What will come round the bend?"
Love it
In that case you might also like Nick Cave and Warren Ellis's Rider Song, which would, come to think of it, be a wonderful addition to RP playlists

Trippy, yet quite chill... As in many of his songs, it sounds as if he's delightfully tipsy, holding and gazing into an adult beverage with great concentration while the ship bobs and yaws amid gently rousing swells...
This visual is aided by the sound of pouring liquid in the middle of the song. Very apt description.
Love hearing some new Cosmo.
Oh...this id dreadful. Is by intent?
OR, maybe it is too brilliant to fully understand.
LOL!
I can't unsee that now every time I hear this song LOL

Or he "borrowed" some of Merlin's mushrooms...
Love the Sheldrake
Gotta love the 'drake!

Always enjoy your thoughtful and imaginative posts, coloradojohn. Nice to see you're still active on the boards.
I'm a sucker for kooky songs with FANTASTIC studio production quality.
