Glad some of you out there like this band. I for one can not get to the skip button fast enough. Just yuck.
This album is one of the best of the 21st century IMHO.
With your long blonde hair
and your eyes so blue
the only thing I ever got from you
was sorrow
LCD Soundsystem is the new The Cars for me.

would you say he's losing his edge?

Where's "Daft Punk Is Playing at My House"?

LCD, OMD
they're both the same if you're dyslexic

I'll show myself out
Sounds very OMD to me !
No - not my thing...

Still not that good...

OK, so it's got something...

Like that synth bassline - yeah it's not bad...

Damn you RP - you're messing with my head again!!!

Thank You
Like a distillation of the best 80s electro - so good
The Man's got a Voice !!!! Electronica gets a bit tiring ... But when vocals kick in All Is Forgiven.
I love LCD. Even more after reading the book, "Meet Me in the Bathroom", the oral history of all musician's in the 5 NYC boroughs back around 2001 by Lizzy Goodman, when they were all starting out. A great read. James Murphy was intense. That is all I can say. It involved inputs by The Strokes, Yeah Yeah's, Interpol, TV on the Radio, LCD, Kings of Leon, Ryan Adams and others. Check it out!
Fine. But not good enough to overcome being one of those songs you've heard so many times you don't need to hear it ever again.
New album coming soon!
Yeah as a scholar of 80s music I had totally pegged this as late 1982 or 1983.... but no, 2010!  Glad to see bands are still cranking out the old styles.
At first I thought it might be interesting...then, I was sure. Then, I thought, Wow, it sounds simple enough, but there's a lot going on here! It's like late '70s or early '80s weird keyboards, and there are many loops, on many levels, but given time, they hypnotize rather than annoy, and that odd, emotional strain he puts into his voice in just the right spots is truly mind-blowing and endearingly quirky... I'm liking it more and more, and THANKS, RP!
I started thinking that this was one of those many songs that would be interesting to listen to once only.
Now I look forward to hearing it again. Good music.
Like Brian Eno from the 70s and 80s but this guy can sing...
If you told me this was from a John Hughes movie 🎥 I’d believe you.
What run right now:
AF "We Exist" > Blur "Song 2" > LCD "I Can Change" - perfect flow!
Very grateful we now have some LCD in the RP mix, it took a while - thanks team!
21 years old. Not a care in the world. Riding the city bus of Chicago in a tux on my way to eventually crash some movie premiere with this song cranked to 11... this song fit so well in that moment and I have never forgotten it.
This does a very good job at evoking the 80s, even the album cover looks the part.

SWEET - a fine addition to the playlist! Thanks William.

I encourage those with tepid ratings to give LCD some time - it definitely grows on you.

Agreed on LCD growing on you! For me, it took a scant 18 years to finally fall in love with the sound after just not getting it and basically hating them for that time. Love that we're getting more of them on RP now, and my personal recommendation for top tracks to fall in love would be "Someone Great" and "Dance Yrself Clean" (no, that's not a typo)

I encourage those with tepid ratings to give LCD some time - it definitely grows on you. I was very skeptical at first myself, and now a huge fan. I would recommend the album "Sound of Silver" as the place to dig in first (their best IMHO).
I LOVE this track so much!
The whole album rocks - big thanks for playing!
I'll admit it... the hook is strong.

Feels 80ish...in the best way possible.
