Everyone agrees, we are concerned
One place underwater, another burns
No one is surprised, but everybody's shocked
With diminishing returns
Worn out shoes from pacing 'round the room
The hashtag used is #UniversalDoom
Fished up all the fishes, and wishing for more wishes
With diminishing returns
You could say the walls are caving in
That the waves will come and wash away these castles made of sand
Doesn't change the way I feel
'Cause what's real
Is you and me in the afternoon
Just your love in the afternoon
I don't presume to know what is in store
Or just how many wolves are at the door
But I have seen your body bending with the morning light ascending
And I will die defending our diminishing returns
Oh, you could say the walls are caving in
That the waves will come and wash away these castles made of sand
Doesn't change the way I feel
'Cause what's real
Is you and me in the afternoon
Just your love in the afternoon
Even just the thought of you
Well, I love you in the afternoon
One place underwater, another burns
No one is surprised, but everybody's shocked
With diminishing returns

For the opening 5 or 6 notes I was certain this was going to be Digging in the Dirt.
This is nice, nice, very nice.
Lovely production, every instrument sounds great.

This rolls along beautifully!
What a great shed.
Love Dan Mangan!
“Hey, this is cool… what is it?” New music! Thanks RP!
What a great shed.
I am not familiar with this use of the word "shed." Maybe I'm getting old. I thought a shed was a small building for storing things in, or moose antlers deposited on the tundra in October.
