Is the rest of Liars similar to this? Yuk. I own every TR and Utopia album from Runt (1970) to No World Order (1993), but this track isn't worth playing (or hearing) again. The TR/Utopia catalog has dozens of excellent tracks, but won't hear most of them on the radio (including RP, I guess?). Most TR fans were introduced to his best stuff by other TR fans. Oh, those turntable days...

Someone else said that RP was just playing bad rundgren - I agree. This was one of his weaker albums. :(

I respect TR for who he is and his body of work - but My God this is just terrible....sounds like it is from the worst of the eighties......but this is new? :verysorry: :verysorry:

I refrained from commenting until I heard this one twice. Upon hearing it a second time I think I'll stick with my first impression. This is just not a very good song.

I was a pretty big Todd freak back in the day. This is not the Todd you should be playing. Try anything from either Something, Anything or A Wizard, A True Star. The man played pretty much all the instruments on the former (or was it the latter). His stuff with Utopia was pretty good, too. But this does not do him or his music justice.

Being a die-hard fan since Runt, ..I've come to the conclusion Rundgren seldom puts out a great album, but he always manages to pepper albums with great writing and brilliant recordings. This isn't one of them.

Thanks for playing this... didn't realize a new disc was out. TR has a deep and impressive catalog, including the Utopia work, from a career that goes back to the late 60s.... much of which is RP worthy. Please do play more.

TR on RP.....mmmmm. AMG gives five stars to three (!) TR albums from the early '70s. I missed it!
