Good Morning

Good morning
My thoughts on leaving
Are back on the table
I thought you should know
And maybe powerful actions
Or powerful feelings
Will keep me from going

I'm folding my hand, hand
I'm folding my hand, hand

Good morning
Why did you do it?
I couldn't sleep
I knew you were gone
Our loving is all I was after
But you couldn't give it
So I'm moving on

I'm folding my hand, hand
I'm folding my hand, hand

I'm sure it was in no way an intentional choice by the artist and no one in the studio noticed, not.
Very, very nice.
Sexy, sultry, sweet, sway the day away.

Very clever segue from Portishead - The Rip - dragged that to my ear also.  Then the beauty of Nick Drake killed it off.  I love RP.

I suppose they are easier to clean that way? {#Cheesygrin}

Get a Polygrip on them.

3, I guess. Not really into the whole "lisping female vocalist" genre.
Sounds as if the last Portishead track remains playing behind the lines
Nice segue from Portishead - The Rip

So glad to hear this instead of Say Goodbye off this same album.  I rate Say Goodbye a 1-Sucko-Barfo - it's the worst song I've ever heard from Norah.  But this is great, Norah doing what she does best - it's an 8.  It's pretty unusual for me to have such a wide difference in ratings for two songs off the same album...

It's quite a good movie actually; I haven't seen it in years.  Oh, good tune too.
I love those quiet little bells...I find this song captivating
this is 'over-the-top-good' into "Steely Dan's" 22nd worse song..How Great

What I don't like is the squeaky fingers on the acoustic guitar. Otherwise I think this is lovely.

I don't typically agree with a Bozo, but I gotta go with the clown with the orange hair and red nose on this one.
Norah sounds hot

Hey, I'll bite!
Helllllllp , Im sinking into her goddess like voice
I'm liking what I've heard from this CD, but this tune is a bit too much like her previous mellow-safe stuff. It's still better than most of her previous safe stuff. It has more personality.
It's hard to comment on a song that really touches the core....I'm impressed by these lyrics.
Woa. Pretty compelling stuff.

This, along with Jack White's new thang, is making me think this is shaping up to be a Summer of Hope, and Good Lord, that's a good thing!

I bought both just the other day. Not as far apart as you might think, musically speaking. Both really good efforts.
Give up the country stuff, Norah, this is much better.
