Have you got colour in your cheeks?
Do you ever get that fear that you can't shift
The type that sticks around like summat in your teeth?
Are there some aces up your sleeve?
Have you no idea that you're in deep?
I dreamt about you nearly every night this week
How many secrets can you keep?
'Cause there's this tune I found that makes me think of you somehow and I play it on repeat
Until I fall asleep
Spilling drinks on my settee

(Do I wanna know?)
If this feeling flows both ways?
(Sad to see you go)
Was sort of hoping that you'd stay
(Baby, we both know)
That the nights were mainly made for saying things that you can't say tomorrow day

Crawling back to you

Ever thought of calling when you've had a few?
'Cause I always do
Maybe I'm too busy being yours to fall for somebody new
Now I've thought it through

Crawling back to you

So have you got the guts?
Been wondering if your heart's still open and if so I wanna know what time it shuts
Simmer down and pucker up
I'm sorry to interrupt. It's just I'm constantly on the cusp of trying to kiss you
I don't know if you feel the same as I do
But we could be together if you wanted to

(Do I wanna know?)
If this feeling flows both ways?
(Sad to see you go)
Was sort of hoping that you'd stay
(Baby, we both know)
That the nights were mainly made for saying things that you can't say tomorrow day

Crawling back to you (crawling back to you)

Ever thought of calling when you've had a few? (you've had a few)
'Cause I always do ('cause I always do)
Maybe I'm too (maybe I'm too busy) busy being yours to fall for somebody new
Now I've thought it through

Crawling back to you

(Do I wanna know?)
If this feeling flows both ways?
(Sad to see you go)
Was sort of hoping that you'd stay
(Baby, we both know)
That the nights were mainly made for saying things that you can't say tomorrow day

(Do I wanna know?)
Too busy being yours to fall
(Sad to see you go)
Ever thought of calling darling?
(Do I wanna know?)
Do you want me crawling back to you?

Plodding anthemic singalong for the arena, not really a fan of this one.

I'm not assigning a +1 for a cool band name here, but definitely not subtracting points either.  The two seemingly contradictory concepts in the name seem somewhat dada-esque to me, which actually has me thinking this just might be a cool band name and therefore worthy of the coveted "+1."
i love this. so sexy.
One of my absolute favorite songs.  Made my day to hear it start playing
These guys are like the Humble Pie of the new age.

Crapo, doesn't fit, moving on!  Just my opinion ....

I like the cover, immediately recognizable (to an RF engineer) as "amplitude modulation", otherwise known as "AM". Clever, those monkeys.

Yes, because complexity of arrangement is the only way to decide if music is worthwhile.

No one can truly appreciate this song without watching the video
mai ascoltata prima questa canzona ma risulta interessante non banale
SHOULD be titled: "CRAWLIN' Back To YOU!"

I really like the way he breaks the lyrics up over the plodding rhythm, often running on longer than expected. For a tune with minimal musical changes, it is handled quite craftily and effectively.

Good: As far as I can tell, you were successful in getting that comment removed.
Bad: You quoted the comment and so it lives on, unless you edit your post.

To stay on topic: Not sure about this.  I usually start with a '5' for songs that I hear but don't immediately react to, so that's what this gets.

There is nothing clever or interesting or even entertaining about this song.   It is so dull it has me reaching for the ‘anything but radio paradise’ button.   stop, stop, stop.

Absolutely, I had to check too...
His voice sounds just like Robin Zander, but not as good. Getting to like these guys. Thanks RP

On the fence with this one.  Good on the first few listens, got annoying on the next few, didn't hear it for a few weeks, and now it's sounding good again.  I think I'll leave the jury out.

Not tired of this - yet. I love that guitar riff...
Please stop playing this song.....uuuuuuuuggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

What happened to the first album, please play some cuts from that sometimes.
overrated & absolutely boring

I don't listen to terrestrial that plays these song. Not overplayed.

Some material from my youth in the 70s and 80s is nice but I listen for the variety and there is a lot of great stuff. Keep with the diversity. Look even farther and deeper for those treasures youth seem to have the knack of finding.

Nicknamed a person at work "Positively 4th Street" recently. Some old Dylan would be an interesting indulgence.

Standing outside a broken phone booth with money in my hand.

I've heard this song many times, and it still sounds great.

I liked this song when it first came out, between RP and terrestrial radio it has been played to death and I hit the PSD or turn the dial.

I always hear the first few chords and just hope it might actually be NIN....but alas - no.  {#Rolleyes}  (oops I guess I've commented on this before, my bad!)

Woo! Lived in Sheffield in 90-91, way before these lads were a band, but I'll claim them anyway!
These guys are good live --->

"Simmer down and pucker up"....
-->  I want to try this line, but I don't think I'm rock and roll enough to use it.
Don't understand the love for this song. Incredibly boring. I like their old stuff.
{#Bananajam}.... wonderful stuff from my home town Sheffield.  Local boys done good  :-)

Simply rock n' roll how it should be. Three chords and awesome chorus!
Can't get enough of this song! I didn't care for this band until this song and album. This song is near perfect.
very cool song

And then you got the Arctic Monkeys! How wonderful for you.

Billy Squier...That's dating yourself a bit. (Don't worry, I'm in your age ballpark). Billy pretty much disappeared by the late 80s, didn't he? According to this Grantland article, Squier blames much of his flame-out on the infamously, hilariously awful 1984 video for "Rock Me Tonite":

https://www.grantland.com/blog/hollywood-prospectus/post/_/id/36214/youtube-hall-of-fame-the-worst-music-videos-of-all-time

Apparently Billy's video is regarded by many as THE worst of all time. Yes, the Grantland article has this disaster embedded in the page. Please don't pee your pants when you watch.

I personally love that video - it makes me laugh every time.

And, I love this song.

Always think it is going to be Nine Inch Nails.....and always disappointed it's not.
Has a beat that sounds like someone slapping a couple of boards together. They should be the headliner with vampire weekend opening. No sense in keeping such brilliant bands apart.
Going to see them live tonight here in Richmond.
I'm liking this album a lot. Not sure I've ever heard anyone use "settee" in a song before;)
Just saw them play last night in Charlotte!!! Phenomenal!! His voice was tremendous and the bass riffs were scary good.Sounded better than their recordings. So glad I went!

Alex has a way with words :D
AM all the way!
Their worst album by far, a pretty good song though.
Feels like Black Keys to me, and not as good.
{#Heartkiss}   Best album to date - great track has to be a BIG fat 9
How do you rate a song that does an amazing job of giving you an anxiety attack?

Yep - their new stuff is laboured, it's a more grown up sound - I guess kudos to them for not sticking to a formula, but I'm not sure I like it as much.

I don't normally like Arctic Monkeys, but this isn't too bad.

overrated and over there, living in LA.

Arctic Monkeys do the Black Keys.  This album is certainly better than albums 3 and 4 but still not in the league of albums 1 and 2.
I seem to either really like what they do or really don't...this is starting out as a like....
