And caught up in this world
I've wasted time, I've wasted breath
I think I've thought myself to death
I was born without this fear
Now only this seems clear
I need to move, I need to fight
I need to lose myself tonight
Come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Come with me now
I'm gonna show you how
I think with my heart and I move with my head
I open my mouth and it's something I've read
I stood at this door before, I'm told
But a part of me knows that I'm growing too old
Confused what I thought with something I felt
Confuse what I feel with something that's real
I tried to sell my soul last night
Funny, he wouldn't even take a bite
Far away
I heard him say (come with me now)
Don't delay
I heard him say (come with me now)

I'd kind of given up on rating songs on RP (cause the system lacks granularity as i've mentioned elsewhere), but having read the slagging this song seems to be getting for no reason of the songs fault, and the current rating total being 6.9 (which in my opinion should read '69'), i've just given it a '70' (a '7' in this sledgehammer system), because i like it.
and i have to say i have never ever heard it played on any other radio station at all ever.
Just my tu'pence worth, as always.

I completely agree. This is very catchy and very RP. I knew nothing about this band, and have never heard this track elsewhere except for one place. On YouTube, many years ago, I followed a young woman who drove a big rig! Her name is Allie Knight and this was one of her favourites. In fact she made her own video to go with it and the band approved. The thing I like most about RP is the randomness. I hear stuff I haven't heard before, and haven't heard anywhere else. Long live RP!

They sound strikingly like their father, which is neat.
I believe it was George Barris that built it. The dragster that appeared in "The Munsters" TV show.
More cow bell Please? :o) Naugatuck Connecticut
You can always have more cow-bell
One of my shameless city driving songs. (A song list that I hate to admit includes Rob Zombie's Dragula..) I hear this and I my mind is ducking in and out of Chicago rush hour traffic.
Wasn't Dragula one of Ed Roth's creations...?-)

A question to those who complain about the song being overplayed at various unnamed radio stations: Why are you listened to those stations so much? Read a book, listen to the news, and then when you are ready for an eclectic music mix go to RP
Sometimes you cannot avoid it. Is that so hard to understand ? What`s wrong with you people. Can`t tolerate ANY criticism.
The people posting negative comments about this song are evidently lame in a mental sense.
No, I'm pretty astute...just don't find this very pleasant at all...definitely would not recommend. And I'm okay with that...
TIP: avoid your local station which overplays it. Listen more to RP which doesn't overplay it. Plays (last 30 days): Main Mix - 4 =once a week (168 hours)
OR
Revert to your local station which overplays it ... that way we don't get your whining comments
To those people who like hearing the same crap, then I suggest iHeartRadio
It's right... 🤢... there. 🤮
Promo for The Grand Tour, for one
I must say this sucks in a unique way.
But, yeah. It sucks.
Reminds me of the "Sail" guys. Catchy for a handful of seconds, then annoying and contrived and sponsored by Red Bull.

agree
For sure
Hear! Hear! Just because it is played on the radio doesn't make it wrong.
PRO TIP: Avoid the radio instead! Then you can evaluate music on its own merits instead of holding this station up to some weird "I don't like it because I heard it elsewhere" hipster standard.
Because I want to drive it over a cliff when this song comes on!!!
HA! I know what you mean! But...better not! Good song btw.
Anybody want to post an interpretation? I get the "War! Come with me now" even though the RP-version lyrics omit the exclamation.
That missing word changes the meaning considerably, eh?
I heard the same thing. So I looked it up on another lyric site: https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/kongos/comewithmenow.html. On that site they are singing "Whoa". Which sounds an awful lot like war.

and then to the grave. That's the point of the song
I was wrong - but looked it/him up, and found out that the band are - his 4 sons .......
And the release was produced by him!
is that the same as FN?
Begging the question, is there a good way to boil kittens?

Love the lyrics and it's very relevant to my state of mind these days.
My 7 year old loves this song - i'm starting to hate it.
Edit. I like the 2007 album. I think I'm quite likely to buy the new one.
Edit - now the next song is on, and I can turn the volume up again. The level is too loud compared to the rest of the station. Not a pleasant or interesting song.
This is mastered horribly. I've tamed it quite a bit, though. Should be better now.
This song is currently being played on the local "alternative" radio station as well as the "hard Rock" radio station...

Neither are useless comments.
Not enjoyable are useless comments like the one above, either.
I concur.

Very good call!
