Could you define the word paranoiac
Could you define it in more detail

Ugh... It is when uh,
The name is uh, paranoiac critical method
Because its one, spontaneous method of knowledge
Basic in the instantaneous association
Of delirious matter

(...)

All I want,
All I want
You're all I want
All I want

All I want
You're all I want
All I want
You're all I want

I see you, I see grace
I love you now, feel the taste
I'll be there for you
I'll be there for you.

I see you now, you can't escape
Words too slow, us too late
I'll be there for you
I'll be there for you!

All I want
You're all I want
You're all I need
Baby you're all (I need)

Don't be scared
Don't be scared
Cause it dark at night
Cause it dark at night
Don't be scared...

Younger Brother is another one of those artists whose original albums keep disappearing from the streaming services, thanks be to RP for playing the originals and not the infinite remixes.
I'm hearing shades of Pink Floyd in there.
the lyrics are disturbing. but, as usual, everything i hear by younger brother, i like.
Why did I have this rated 10? Solid 8

Dude!  Humans would be, like, dead and shit from O2 toxicity.  Not cool.

Our planet is remarkably ideal for our remarkable selves.  We should treat it that way.

What a great imagination!

Each time this comes up on the RP playlists it gives me pause, and I always have to check to see who it is. Ah yes; right. It was my intro to YB (thanks Bill!) and I always find myself bopping along to it with a smile, despite of (because of?) its mash up of Floyd, Hot Butter, JMJarre, and a rather heavy dose of Yello.  I grew up with all of those in my collections and I'm a big Shpongle fan and love Posford's ability to combine such diverse musical influences and instrumentations. Good fun.

One of the best music events I ever attended featured Posford doing a live DJ set. Fabulous light show too.
My boring accounting job becomes momentarily more enjoyable when Younger Brother makes it into the rotation.
Pretty Muse-like, in a good way.

Let's not be hyperbolic. Only the biosphere of the Earth would be burned to a crisp. You know, the organic stuff in contact with the oxygen. The planet itself would be relatively unaffected by the raging inferno.
Been a while since I heard this one.  Terrific groove.
Very Floyd, both cover and atmospherics. Thanks BillG for introducing this to me. Hard to rate it. Will start w 7. Need to hear more

I can't say I am a fan, but I give it points for originality.
The guitar work is giving me a 'Mark Knopfler' vibe, but the rest is nowhere near similar to Dire Straits.
how did i only rate is a 9 with that intro

Sort of?  Sounds to my ears like Totally! Not that that's a bad thing, but it is kinda eerie.

The love child of Jean Michel Jarre and B. Bumble and the Stingers, remixed by Gershon Kingsley, with a lashing of Hot Butter...

Excellent.

Oh, man. I just saw that Pieter said the same thing a year ago. Clearly, Pieter and I are hearing the same thing. Which means we're both getting old. Hang in there, Pieter. The older we get, the slower we move. And the slower we move, according to the quantum physicists, the faster time passes. So, for us, all this INSANITY going on in the world should be over pretty soon.

Equinox, by Jean-Michel Jarre?

You got me wondering what this "Duke of Edinburgh Award" was. Thanks for expanding my awareness, under the heading of "good things happening in the world."

Slight correction. His name is Jean Michel Jarre. Jeanne and Michelle are feminine names in French.
My least favourite on an otherwise excellent album.

Also hearing a lot of Future Islands in there.  Not sure which came first, but I like them both
This band is growing on me. Except for the annoying intro, which is grating on me.
Pre tty good when the y get into it
Longest worst intro. Ever.

I recently chose Porcupine Tree in a comparison with Younger Brother. In no way did I intend to disparage Younger Brother. This song rivals none.

All I want is Jean Michel Jarre, who did far grander techno and much earlier.
Yes, for sure..it is quite complex and leads one into a musical realm {#Cool}  Holoien wrote:

Best to buy them from the artist directly, aka Simon Posford et al, his site is twistedmusic.com.  His prices are reasonable, ships anywhere and he makes more money to pay for the ridiculous  Shpongle stage shows he puts on. There are guitars all over that too, LOL.

Once again, a very big thanks to RP for introducing me to YB, who have been an aural breath of fresh air, and who are truly distinctive. It's a shame that it's the devil's own job finding CDs of them in shops, but perhaps that comes from their club background where everything is distributed electronically and CDs are so passe' my dear.

I didn't know that it was Dali - thanks for the info. It's a nice spooky and surreal start to the song, which is an easy 8 from the tranced-out Nottingham jury.

hmm..
Dig it - Floyd "Animals" on giddy up!

Very reminiscent of those three albums after Syd went mad, the years that Gilmour refers to as, " Our psychedelic noodling days." The only thing missing from this is a searing Gilmour solo at the end!

He seems also to mimic Gilmour's sound and technique of playing the Fender lap steel without any pedals.

Love the artwork, ( Storm Thorgerson RIP,) and the direction this band is going. Wish they'd add a guitarist to the mix.
Moby Floyd.  Nice!
First time I've heard this.   Awesome.

Love it. For some reason it sounds like old Yello.
