If it gets you down, well then I'll take it
If it gets you up, well I don't want it
It let you down so broken-hearted
If it gets you down, well then I want it

If only, only
If only, only
If only, only
If only, only
We're nothing at all

So blow our mind and make it lazy
Those long long days with no escaping
I hold the wheel to let it go
Don't wanna stop, don't wanna know
If it gets you down, well just don't blame me

If only, only
If only, only
If only, only
If only, only
If only, only
If only, only
If only, only
If only, only
We're nothing at all

I wanna be your dog.
Gotta love this album cover!
This song is an instant mood changer. 🤘🏼
Such an essential, early JAM by them. I love their new stuff, too. Genius talent, yet with such a raw, wild vibe.

Great guitar riff, lasts the whole tune. Basic 3 chord R&R, all you need with a good rhythm section.

Each to their own, but personally I find it dull and repetitive.

And a year later, we're covering this song with my band haha!
When you love a song...
This band is hit or miss for me. This tune is a hit! Good tune!
Excellent tune!!
Saw them at 9:30 Club (DC) many years ago, with Dave Grohl drumming.  Have almost recovered (hope I never do).
Best Queens of the Stone Age song I ever Heard!
Josh Homme is such an unsympathetic stage performer. I've seen him several times and during all these gigs he makes it a stage act "gimmick" to insult the roadies who prepare the stage for him, is generally unfriendly towards all the people who make festivals happen, including security guys and other service people. While being the closing act of a big festival the band managed to quit half an hour early, leaving the audience stupified. If you wish to give no encore, that's fine, but not completing the job at all is just plain rude. Everybody went to their tents disappointed, the festive feeling was gone. Maybe he just doesn't like his job very much, I don't know. The music is so damn good though, that I can almost forgive him his personality.
