36th position in the medals table in Atlanta 1996 with only one gold medal. Steady investment and improvement since then til 4th in the table behind USA china and Russia in Beijing was the best I thought we could possible do. Now this time we have 27 gold medals already and it looks like we will finish third. Blimey.

I'm glad to finally catch some FIELD (in track and field). That used to be my sport. I remember the long jump pit was right next to the pole vault pit at my high school...and I was fascinated watching the vaulters do their thing while waiting for my jumps. Until a stray pole flew our way and we had to scramble out of its way.

And a lovely place it is ! In the triathlon we have asked for a shared gold medal,don't really know why...9/1000 of a second is after all the distance swimming,biking and running still a loose by 9/1000 sec,or so the clock say's.
