My boss laughing on the phone in the next office. Traffic outside. A siren a few blocks away. A bus pulling up to stop. The small rotating fan in my office. My bracelet clanking on the desk as I type.

No, the space/soundscape issue is huge. I feel pretty lucky to be where I am now, though of course things are always fluid — never know who might be moving into the neighbourhood next.

Lawn mowers. There's a mower fixin' place around the corner. Every day there's guys on riding mowers going around my block testing them. I wish they'd run over my yard to " test " them. If they all would do that......my yard would get mowed and I'd be inside in the A/C. ....... seems like a good idea to me.
