I've been on a miso soup kick. Too easy and easily holds me to lunch:
one and half cups simmering water two tbsp white miso (from Safeway - big tub costs about $4) slide in a raw egg and it poaches handful of chopped scallions (I just took a bunch and chopped em all up so they're always ready) handful of spinach until it wilts
toast with lingonberry jam and coffee. Was a restless night in So Cal. We had a huge thunderstorm that lasted for hours and hours and dumped alot of rain. Very unusual and perhaps a remnant from a Mexican hurricane. That's really the only time we get storms like that.
Would that be a Mexicane? We had an Americane here. Powouts, the whole 9. Lots of folks restless here too. Generators running everywhere. Like the apoxylips or something. I myself picked up an extra Bible and some beef jerky. Oh yeah, got a 12 of New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA for 12.99 plus tax. Not bad. There's your Sunday come tomorrow. It aint too reverent or humble but my heart's in the right place...hey its a brave new world out there. People don't need no Apostle to shine the lightning. They just need a cell phone and a desert island. Maybe a Dean Martin record...
All seriousness aside, nothing inspires fear like fear. Feeds the fire. Common sense. Decency. Dignity. Compassion. Respect. Resources. I see this going on all around me. The true human spirit will prevail no matter what comes... Now, who wants flapjacks?

Fried egg sandwich (2 small eggs) on toast. With 1 slice of processed cheese and 3 sliced Ziggy's Stuffed Mammoth Olives. Generously sprinkled with hot peppers. And a cup of instant freeze dried coffee.
Usual: Baroness Haden-Guest-derived Activia®, coffee, toast, honey and nutted Cheerios maybe. No idea what the absurd fuss and flurry of lawsuits was all about. Stuff works like she said it would. Meh. Jerks abound. Although Josh Mankiewicz (@JoshMankiewicz) once Tweeted that people with hyphenated names have been known to kill. And may kill again. And he like knows stuff about all that kinda stuff. Trust in those Mankiewicz bros. They like, again, know stuff.
