With all the distressing frustration of dealing with my Mum's estate, I'm happy that * I have a loving, supportive sweetie * My brother here in Texas is willing to help with potential face-to-face confrontations * My brother in Anchorage is regularly corresponding with supportive, encouraging, and funny emails * We're having a nice little group of family and friends over for Turkey Day * I have a job I enjoy and a boss who I can make laugh * I'm doing well in my class and I'll be finished for the semester the first week in December (until January, anyway) * I have this great group of Peeps here that have a seemingly unending supply of and and and even the occasional

Ah the fascination of the collective unconscious! I was thinking of getting some kind of "count your blessings" thread going! I mean, really, I have EVERYTHING!! Such a great house; Wow what a neighborhood! NH rocks. I have a really cute hubby. My kids are, um, interesting. My awesome friend A and the camp group and the artists group; and my friend L and the drum group and the ladies group. I have a Garage. Good lord how I love that garage. Especially now that it's cold and my 6 yr old car is a little crabby on icy mornings. Oh and I love my car too. I love the magnets (Obama & Peace) on the back. I LOVE the work I do. I LOVE my Mac. I could go on all day, but then I'd be neglecting the work I love that I have to do.

I'm glad to hear that your son's accident wasn't too serious. I know how shaken up you still must be by it, though- Megan was struck by a car in January when she was crossing the street on her bike and even though she recovered from her injuries, and none of them were life-threatening, I was severely rattled for several months afterward. Keeping a good attitude helps us rebound from the bizarre twists life takes- hang in there!
