I know that if there were a "live" button, it would negate the "skip" option, but right now I'm listening via iTunes and thought about opening the new player so I could do some Custom PSDing, but it would mean listening to the same songs from the last hour again, right? I suppose I need to make that choice first, but I can send iTunes to the stereo via AirPlay. So I guess that's two comments. Airplay on the beta player (lets you choose which speakers to use) and a "go to live" option?

I get a kind of Pandora vibe when I'm listening out of sync with the world. Loses a little of that "shared experience" thing; I might always prefer to listen to the live stream, not have the skip button, and just PSD once in a while. Not sure yet. I like the new player a lot, though. Thanks!

It seems it is something to do with Chrome.  I opened up the "more Information" button, copied what was there and translated it into english with google translate.
Its just a standard message that Chrome has a problem showing the webpage.

Page Crashes with error message 'Unfortunately' remedy

If the error "Sorry" appears, it means that Chrome is having problems loading the web page you want to view. You can try these remedies.

Reload the page
You can usually reload the page to resolve the error.

On your computer, click in the upper left reload.
On your mobile device: Tap the top right corner of the Chrome menu> Reload. You can also drag the page down and release.
Close Other Tabs
There may not be enough available memory on your computer to load the website. Computers depend on memory to run apps, extensions and programs. Insufficient memory, they may be slow or may no longer be executed.

Close any tab except when the message "Sorry" appears, and then load the tab again.

Restart your device
Sometimes other programs or apps disrupt the correct loading of a page.

Turn on your computer or mobile device off and on again and reload the page.

Does it still does not?

As most sites are loaded normally, but one crash site, the site can cause the problem. Try clicking refresh a few times by clicking the blue button Reloading the 'Sorry' page.

If three or more attempts fail reloading the page, the "Send Feedback" button appears. Click the Send feedback button to let us know what's going on. You can also post your problem on the Chrome Help Forum.

I agree on Safari. It could use a bit more Apple love than it's getting.  However, the player should work OK on it. I'm taking some down-time next week. When I get back, I'll take a look at that. I haven't done much testing in Safari.

Just had a strange event, perhaps a bug: 

1. I clicked on the link for the slideshow version on the RP3 beta player (using the link found at the beginning of this thread) and gave it the once-over. Slideshow looked good, the settings panel worked fine, the stream was steady, etc. etc.  

2. When I looked at the song comments for The Staples' version of "Wrote a Song for Everyone" and clicked on a button within RP3 beta player to reply to someone's comment, a new browser window within Safari (Version 9.1 running on top of  OS X 10.9.5) opened up and correctly rendered the song comment text field area, complete with the quoted comment that I was trying to reply to....

BUT 

3.  That same new browser window indicated that I had 7 new private messages. 

3a. Thought I was famous! Stalked! The center of a Trumpian conspiracy!

3b. No such: the RP Intergalactic System mistakenly reported the last 7 private messages I'd received over the last few months were new and unread.

4. Otherwise, the RP3 beta player seems to work fine. REALLY Like the options to choose the type of PSD song you want to hear. Well done, Bill and Rebecca! 

5. On an unrelated note, Safari (not the RP3 beta player) still does not handle PSD requests well. Sometimes the requests are ignored, other times I do jump to a new song but the RP stops entirely after the new song ends, even if I refresh the page. 

5a. If I could buttonhole Tim Cook, I would give him a serious talking-to about the raggedy state of Safari. Apple pays attention to its software in bursts, but Google Chrome has left Safari far far behind.  

Just clicked PSD, got a nice song. Song ends, Beatles song plays. Melodious DJ voice announces that the song was something else, not Beatles song, then intros new song.

Silence.

Clicking the play button does nothing. Clicking the restart does...nothing.

Closed and restarted, played fine. Clicked PSD, silence. Restart button...silence. Still showing song info for the song that was playing when I hit PSD.

This is Win7, Firefox 45.0.2 (which has been giving me grief all day, probably due for a reboot, but there ya go).

When PSD/ Playlist Options is chosen, how long will it play the chosen mix? it seems to play about 4 or 5 songs and reverts back to something else.

No, it won't be curated separately at this point. It'll be the same set of songs you'd get when clicking "My Playlist" (or "play something I like"). 

In the future, however, we've talked about possibly giving you control over the sequencing of songs & segues between them.
