I have (at least) one of those from the New Yorker. When I was 15 I submitted the first poem I ever wrote. I still have the original poem which came to life on my Dad's old Underwood. #iheartsylviaplath
It is also kind of a philosophical question.. I mean if you play the same quality all the time, won't it get boring? Maybe Bill should throw in a bit of Florence Foster Jenkins or me for that matter just to make people appreciate the good stuff.
You're right. The variety is mandatory. That's why I love RP.
I can set this topic resolved. I promise don't to do it again
Like Rolling Stones said, you can't always get what you want. Or you never make a saint of me. LOL!
Where did you read that I said that they are doing something wrong? I love this radio station. I donate sometimes and I still will do. Only I can't understand why some songs fits on RP (even with less than 5 on voting system that demonstrates that song is not good for the most listeners), and other songs doesn't fit. Only that.
However, I am less confusing now, with the comment that this is not a democracy That's the far west!
ok, peace.

what about aligning your headlights for a bit and admitting that that is precisely what they do:
"We see radio as an art form" ... and to have stayed in business for 15 years while paying all fees and relying entirely on voluntary donations kind of indicates they must be doing something right, non?
They don't have to appeal to everybody all the time. They just have to appeal to enough people enough of the time.
Obviously they succeed at this.

I don't think this radio station is maintained alone by B&R. Donatives are mandatory to get this radio station live for 15 years.

Bill and Rebecca own Radio Paradise. They play what they like, they don't play what they don't like. It's really that simple. If you don't like it, use the PSD button, or find another music source.
Yes, I use the PSD button. I don't break my fingers by doing it. Not like others. Your sentence means that the best I can do is to stop donate money to this station? With that behaviour, Bill and Rebecca needs to maintain this radio station alone? You need to offer that clients like, because they are your clients.... Basic business premises.
To my knowledge, they do operate it alone. Whatever business model they have... seems to work. People donate as they can and as they wish.
Don't take it personally when one of your song submissions gets rejected by RP. I've only had 2 out of about 40 submissions "approved" (mostly on the older site), and only one of those has been played. It's sort of like a lottery.
Your answer is fine. And I understand it. I don't take it personally. Only I can't understand why it doesn't have the possibility of users votes. Bill was removed it as soon as possible. I think the rock style of that song fits perfectly on RP. But as spanish people say: "Hay que joderse, y punto".
I catch it! I'm a laughing boy! But I can't understand the joke in the picture you've attached. Note that I am not native english boy... My native language is Galician and Spanish (yeah, I'm bilingual), and I know more languages like English, Portuguese or Italian. And I know informatic languages like PHP, Javascript or Java. But with all that knowledge, I can't understand the joke in the picture. Maybe it has an explanation :)
However, I'm not agreed with the rejected submission, that's the main topic here
