I'm having exactly the same problem with a Samsung Galaxy A5 running Android 7.0
I can't log in ("network error try again later"), I have no stream and cache creation is not possible (error retrieving cache block).

Removing and reinstalling the application doesn't change anything
Has anyone found a solution?

RP App recently stopped working on Lenovo Tablet running Android 7.
I did a factory reset on the tablet, installed RP version 4.8.14.gp from the Play Store, but no improvements.
App starts OK, but hit Play button, and it reverts back to Pause within seconds.
Other apps on the tablet use WiFi without issue.
I have reset the home router too.   A newer phone runs RP App OK.
Suggestions?

Same for me - old LG G5 running Android 7.0. No log in, no streaming, no caching possible. Message is "Error retrieving cache block" (adding cache block) or "Network error try again later" (log in). Surprisingly still able to install the app.

I use an old phone to play RP at work using the cache.  This has worked for years, but stopped in the last week (~3/1/2024).  It's running Android 6 (I did say it was old), but running the newest version of the RP app.  The app has stopped both streaming and caching music and can not log in to RP, either. Wifi is working fine. There's gbs of free storage.  It seems that the app can no longer "see" the wifi.  Is anyone else encountering this or is the phone just bricked for the app after the last update?
