I missed it; is it too late to laugh at it now? It's true-ish that a conviction without a sentence is nothing, but conviction is when the gavel comes down "guilty." Sentencing is a different matter. https://www.law.cornell.edu/we...

There, fixed the statement.  Better now ?

From you link.

A conviction is an adjudication of a criminal defendant’s guilt

The adjudication part is when the judge makes their final determination ... which has not happened and to paraphrase the judge (cuz I'm not going to spend time looking for the actual quote), may not happen ...

Here is the support for my remarks about convictions
Lawyer — President Trump is not actually a convicted felon. Media outlets should be careful.

That only comes with a sentencing, which as of now has been delayed and may not even happen.

??

Why wouldn't Trump get convicted? Merchan delayed the sentencing date until September. Newspapers and pundits are speculating Merchan did this to prevent the Supreme Court from hearing Trump' appeal before the election.

There was claim from Trump's lawyers IIRC that Merchan was compromised because he had a conversation durinig the case with a NY real estate developer or lawyer (can't remember which) but Merchan denied that this conversation ever took place and the story seems to have died....

Correct.  Hunter is also not a convicted felon for the same reason.  I posted the support for this several days ago.

Doesn't natter.  You also missed Joe's real state of mind as well.

You are still laughed at. When everybody else is found guilty in a court of law they are considered "convicted". That has to be a prerequisite to being sentenced. One doesn't happen without the other and the two don't happen concurrently. If you want to find someone out there who says differently and hang your hat on it. Go for it. I don't hear anyone else making this argument. It's really pathetic but predictable how you will contort yourself to try and deflect anything negative involving Trump.

If not having to admit he was convicted because you found someone else who said so will help you sleep easier at night...

Biden’s Strategy to Make the Race About Trump Is Suddenly in Doubt
The Biden campaign’s effort to raise questions about Donald J. Trump’s ability to be president has boomeranged into a referendum on the president’s own competence.

He is a convicted felon. Doesn't one have to be convicted in order to be sentenced? The one has to precede the other. So, because he's not yet sentenced, he doesn't have a criminal record at this point in time as well?

So then Hunter Biden is also not convicted?

Give me a break pretzel-boy. They are both convicted. End of story.

Eyeroll. So, of course, that changes everything.

I have known the obvious since at least 2017 and have the receipts buried in this forum.  I was vehemently rebuked something about a stutter or something.  Of course I was right about other things I was openly mocked for as well.  Does this make me smarter than you guys?  Oh I doubt that.  Perhaps you guys should contemplate on all of the other reasons, but you won't cause ......orange man bad! lol  Big Mike won't run because he does not need the scrutiny and he won't get the campaign money.  The correct course of action is Kamala.

In Louisiana, when David Duke was running against Edwin Edwards, cars sported the bumper sticker, “VOTE FOR THE CROOK.  IT’S IMPORTANT” knowing that you are, whether or not you like it, choosing between problematic and downright destructive. So, in this case, it’s a waste of time to think Biden is a great candidate - but the other choice is so much worse, and getting even more dangerous.
