Don't tell me that you love me
Or that you'll never leave me
Give me one day in your life

Just put your arms around me
And tell me that you need me
Give me one day in your life

One day is all I ask for
One day to be with you

One day is all I ask for
One more day feeling like I do
Over you

This world could turn against me
But it wouldn't matter baby
Give me one day in your life

Don't tell me that you want me
Or that you're thinking of me
Give me one day in your life

One day is all I ask for
One more day to be with you
One more day is all I ask for
One more day, feel like I do
Over you

If forever scares you baby
We'll take it slow and easy
Give me one day in your life
Just give me one day in your life

One day is all I ask for
One day to be with you

One more day, is all I ask for
One more day, feel like I do
Over you
Give me one day in your life
Give me one day in your life
Give me one day in your life

Great song from an artist who is, at times, unfairly reviled…
Just love this song

Roy and Elvis.

The only thing I don't like about Chris Isaak is his voice.  Other than that...
And the award for best performance in a blue sequin suit goes to . . .

Yes, back in the old days the Isaak was into sequin suits.

Actually, this sounds much more raucous and up-tempo than most of the material I've heard from him.

Yeah, that's true. It almost didn't sound like him for a minute or two. It rocks, but it's the same ol sobbin story. Still, a 7 beats the hell out of a PSD.
Classy.  I like it a lot.

Yeah, it does sound like something else he did ...
On the other hand, I think he is wonderful.
I used to hate Chris Isaak. I thought he was just trying to show off his voice in the songs I heard. This was the first song that put me on the path to changing my mind. Now I like most of his stuff that I hear on RP.

Awesome. Love this stuff.
Same old song, different lyrics.
I find it kinda pedestrian.
He's whining and moping again. The thumping robodrummer is from either Arcade Fire or John Mellencamp.

I saw him circa '89-90 in a club in DC just as he was breaking into the big time.  It was one of the best shows I've ever seen.
A lot less creepy than his usual offerings...
I don't mind if Chris is a warbler...love his voice...maybe it's a girl thing....sexy sexy sexy!
... he *IS* a warbler, isn't he? Tired of this sound/theme from him. I think he's hit a wall...

I like Chris a lot but has he ever done a song that's not about broken hearts and lost love?

You're close enough to TMI, Cynaera... ;-0

I like hisong
s a lot more when he's not warbling about broken hearts and lost love—he's gone to that well too many times. This is pretty good albeit a little formulaic.

If you create a new chicken recipe, name it after Chris and post it!

I'ma Rockin'.   Where are those banana guys?  Oh, here. Let me put it in Iconspeak.

I did not like Chris Isaak for a long time.  But RP has changed my mind on him. This song has really grown on me.

...I love Chris Isaak's music and  WOW just look at those blue eyes !
Chris Isaak is awesome as usual, but the band is not the same without James Calvin Wilsey. Not even close, they miss his guitar.

Oh gawd, just awful. Please don't play anymore Chris Isaak.
As has been pointed out in another post, never dis Chris Isaak to your girlfriend/wife/object of commercial affection. Somehow, he controls the available pheromone stocks in the western hemisphere and you will never get laid if you side against him.

I like Chris Isaak but this song blows...
The production on this is stellar. Even at a low volume - you can pretty much isolate every instrument in the mix.

I like.

Agreed! Not his best, but I still haven't heard him do anything that I didn't like. I am a Chris Isaak fan from way back when.

Great voice, but this is not his best, I think!
Serious Roy Orbison overtones.

not bad. 1st song I heard from him since his popular song back in the late 80s...iT helped me get laid a few times so thanks Mr Isaak!

Nice, but I'm finding the music to be too cluttered.

nice, nice
Yum Yum, Chris Isaak!

swooning ...
The only Chris Isaak album I don't have. I'm happy to hear he and his band have still got it.
Sing along!!!
huh?
Awesome, diverse portfolio of CI songs on RP. But I do miss "Blue Hotel".
was just listening to Forever Blue cd this morning...wonder why Somebody's Crying got played once (in 2000) and then yanked after an initial high rating? odd.
I liked the way this song started, it caught my ear. I just got bored with it halfway through.
I was going to say it sounded like Chris Isaak, until I saw that it was Chris Isaak. Now, I guess I'll have to say it sounded like Ryan Adams or the Grateful Dead or somebody...
C.I. is great, anything by him is always appreciated. His show on Showtime was great, as was his role (albeit small) in Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me. An extremely talented and likeable guy.
Few men make women swoon like Chris Isaak.
I love Chris Isaac and his band is awesome
I have always liked this.
me-ow!
always love hearing Chris Isaak. Please play more.
It has been said that Chet Baker developed the "California Sound" in days past. I think Chris Isaak has the modern California Sound, with his unique style and that big hollow-bodied Gibson.
damn he can sing

Yes :)
I really don't hear the Roy Orbison thing (long-time Roy fan). I think Chris has a voice all his own...and I like it!
I have been a CI fan for a long time. I have everything he has done. His concerts are an absolute riot - he is a stitch, and puts on a great show. His show on Skinamax was hillarious - at least the episodes I caught. This song has emotional ties for me since I was going through my divorce at the time (ugh). The cords and tone of the song still haunt me - along with asking for, "one more day"...

He not only sound like Roy but he's got the same musical style, -starts off gently, increases in tempo and has a dramatic ending. Love the style Love the Voice

I like the way he updated his sound in such a subtle way.
I heard this song, fired up my browser (Firefox, of course), and brought up Radioparadise.com to give this Roy Orbison song a good rating. Then my mind was blown: This isn't Roy Orbison! I guess they sound alike.
Delicious!

Hey, my rating bumped it up by that ever-precious 1/10th of one point ----- I love it when that happens!
Mine dropped it by 0.1 -- sorry!
While I don't feel this album represents Chris' strongest work, still and all, anytime his voice comes on (esp. unexpectedly!!) I'm gonna get goosebumps and a little tingly thrill. So...smooooth... Am told he is releasing a Christmas album later this year! Should be interesting!

This past set just hasn't done it for me til this tune came on.
Keep up the Chris Isaak! Great song.
Wow! Couldn\'t believe this was Chris Isaak at first. Really dig his first few albums and then lost track (interest?) Might have to give him a new look
The More Chris Issak the better!
I don\'t believe I\'ve ever heard any Chris Isaak on RP. No the best song, though.
