Wild thing
You make my heart sing
You make everything groovy
Wild thing

Wild thing, I think I love you
But I wanna know for sure
So come on and hold me tight
I love you

Wild thing
You make my heart sing
You make everything groovy
Wild thing

Wild thing, I think you move me
But I wanna know for sure
So come on and hold me tight
You move me

Wild thing
You make my heart sing
You make everything groovy
Wild thing

Come on, come on, wild thing
Shake it, shake it, wild thing

Wannabe axeman Johnny Depp plays this in the desert to advertise some perfume on TV. Just after he inexplicably empties a shovel full of sand over his head.
Those are some tight tight trousers.
Jon Snow - Wildling <3
It was fun then, and its still fun today.

Yes, yes, you are. As am I. Now 55 years ago. Shock! Memories are what sort of defines us. No? This song resonates along with all those insipid Canadian centenary jingles from '67. Good memories of  times gone by.  Call me a boomer but call me, hopefully, enlightened. Just trying to enjoy the the precious time given all of us without pissing off too many people. Those I have pissed off deserved it. Ha! Cheers.
Schmaltz.  The dictionary definition thereof.
the first chord instantly makes me think of  The Hollies "Air That I Breathe"...
quite different after that, isn't it? I used to dance unabashedly to the neighbor's 45s on their front porch when I was very young - where did that person go?
I was Today year's old when I learned about the band that sings this song.
For the Life of Me, I thought it was an early Kinks song.
Saw the Troggs at my Uni in the UK early 70's.  The opened with Wild Thing, did an extended version of WT half way and the encore was a bonkers version of  Wild Thing.  They did do Love is all around as well, but only once. It became a massive hit in the 90s for Wet Wet Wet. A fun evening
iconic!!!

Try 55 years ago.  And we're not getting old.  We're just older.

Gotta love those Beatles haircuts on that album cover.

In 1966 Britain that was long hair!

CFRA AM 580 radio used to play this song all the time in the mid-60s.    Sounded edgy, even in mono.  :-)

RP plays this just to make some of us feel old, very old.

CFRA, man. Just mentioning that makes me feel old. Big time AM top-40 station in Ottawa, Canada, until it went all talk in the late 80s. The Troggs must have sounded edgy on CFRA, even in the 60s (before I was listening to anything). Sadly, CFRA was the type of radio station many of us abandoned for FM in the 70s, eventually abandoning even FM for -- RP.

What goes around comes around!

From the year I was born.
And it still sounds groovy.
Finally! A fun tune. Thanks RP.

Don't you just want to caper around a campfire in the dead-heat of  a summer's night, howling these lyrics? An 8 for atavistic appeal!
I crack up every time I hear the solo...on nose flute!

I have a soft spot for Sam Kinison's cover of this.
:)  grooving here in Canada.   and Hey! The new website looks good, even though I haven't figured it all out just yet.

I lived pretty near their origins in the UK and used to spend quite a bit of time with them, even bought their old group van (!), but pasty? Having had a few drinking sessions in their company, umm ... no.
My god, I'm getting old!

The beautiful primitiveness of Rock'n Roll. Or was it the other way round?
I heard this and loved it 3,000 times as a 12 year old.
But this is my first roll of this classic on RP. Kudos. Let's go for the daily double and spin Love Is All Around.

Absolutely the best. AM radio was wonderful during the 1960s.

Oh Yeah!!!
I can still see why this was a hit in it's day. BTW Bill, I like the Troll-Troggs link!!
Can't decide if this song takes me on a wonderful trip back to the 60s, or reminds me of Charlie Sheehan trying to pitch in Major League. Doesn't matter, both are good!
