CCR was one of the first artists I bought (on vinyl) when I was waking up to music... circa 1981. Hot Wax Records & Tapes, in Billings, MT! I think a Beatles lp would have been my very first record, but CCR was a very solid 2nd purchase.

I'm glad I was part of the music era that wasn't run by computers. Don't get me wrong, computer mixing has contributed all around big time, but there's something to be said for bands such as CCR... the genuine factor is irreplacable.

Walter was the commencement speaker when I got my master's degree at the University of Michigan. As we lined up for the event, I saw him sitting on a nearby bench. There was my hero, right there! I left the line and went over and introduced myself and shook his hand.

I usually change the channel when CCR comes on because I've heard their hit songs ad nauseum. I don't remember this one, and it rocks!
