I look at you all, see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
Still my guitar gently weeps
I don't know why nobody told you
How to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you
I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps
I don't know how you were diverted
You were perverted too
I don't know how you were inverted
No one alerted you
I look at you all, see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
Look at you all
Still my guitar gently weeps
Weeps
While my guitar gently weeps
Still my guitar gently weeps
While my guitar gently weeps
Still my guitar gently weeps

This feels forced. If it is representative for the entire movie, which until now I hadn't heard of, then it will be yet another one of those politically correct paint-by-numbers productions where everything has been meticulously made not to offend a single person from all well-established population groups, making the result entirely soulless. Well, maybe I'll watch it someday and be proven wrong.
The only reason why this song isn't entirely awful, is probably because there is a lot of headroom to drop below the quality of the original.

The tempo and arrangement of the song are related to the film in which it appears. It doesn't do much for me either, but it's likely the sound that the film's musical composer desired and wanted Regina Spektor to perform it.
Sorry but....no.
I like the Beatles. But this is too commercial for me. The fact that it is made for Japanese (themed) movie makes it even worse.

One Japanese cover that was surprisingly pleasant for me was Yuko Watanabe: "Smooth criminal"

I don't know why I see the hate in the comments. I like it this. The background musical style is more unique and divergent than Regina's vocals.
While my ears gently bleeds
Ms Spektor has never floated my boat at all.  This effort leads me to believe that she knows someone in high places.

Not to be a snob, all musical art is valid I suppose, but perhaps some songs should simply not be covered.

Jake Shimabukuro did a very good version of this on the ukelele, with accompaniment.
No. Just no

That's an insult to Bjork.

yeah, this is making my guitar weep too.
Make the bad woman go away.

Interesting cover - it worked pretty well in context, over the end credits of the movie.
Perfect for Radio Paradise!
Interesting.
Sorry but afraid this is wrong in so many ways.
