RIP Neil. You are a hero, a legend for all of us armchair astronauts. I love the fact that Neil led a quiet life after the moon landing and never capitalized on his great achievement. Can you see that happening today? Not likely.

That's very sad.  He was one of my heroes, and probably was for many people.  That's a wonderful quote, by the way.

What's going on on Mars right now is nothing less than fucking amazing.

Since we've pretty much started this planet on the path to uninhabitability, we better start spending every dime we have on r&d to get off it.
