Had the same thing happen to my HTC One. My current Moto X is what I think of as the perfect size, unfortunately the new one is upsized like the iP6. Maybe we need a phone that folds up...
Given their history, it seems unlikely that Apple will "give" anything to anyone, but I'm sure they'll sell rigid cases. As one tech analyst states in the article, "smartphones are not designed to be put in trouser pockets". I know those 'holster' cases are pretty goofy looking, but those phones are very expensive.

I winder if they will give everybody who has bought one a rigid case for their phones? I have heard it can happen to both the 6 and the 6 plus. I would think it was more likely with the bigger phone.
We are being careful with ours, and awaiting the arrival of cases.

You could just strap something rigid to the back of the phone.... I think I'll market a product especially for this purpose, it will be called the iBeam.
We have ordered clear cases with a rigid plastic back, and a rubber, grippy edge and corners. Hopefully, they will be enough to prevent bending.
But then, I wear old man, relaxed fit, jeans these days, so the phone has lots of room to move around in my pocket.

I think if I owned an iPhone, well they feel so slippery in my hand like a wet bar of soap, I'd want to fasten it into an old Western Electric receiver that I can get a grip on.

I think the next big thing in phones will be flexibility, but not like this.

AliGator and I went to our local Apple Store at the mall yesterday afternoon. They had a not too long line from the door. We were maybe 15th or 20th in line. We had to wait maybe 50 minutes before we made it to the front of the line and were led in by an employee. The lines were reportedly much longer the three days prior. We both got the iPhone 6.
It is quite a step up from our iPhone 4s, and we are both enjoying using them.
Here is a slow motion video that Alison took of Fuckhead Jones. She asks you to forgive her for not turning the phone 90 degrees. Be sure to turn up the volume.
i love schlowmo.
Because something is happening here But you don't know what it is Do you, Mister Jones ?

I'm not up to date on my iPhone family history. But I think that iOS 6 is for the iPhone 3 and the older iPod touch. The patches are in both of the latest iOS updates, there is no patch yet of OS-X, so extra extra caution in that land.
IOS, as I'm sure you know, only updates to the latest compatible version. I can't stay in IOS 6 and get the update with my 4s. I'm forced to move to IOS7.
Edit: It looks like Apple TV users will want to update as well.
The phone is only showing the full update to 7.0.6.............because it's a 4s I suppose.

Yes. iOS 6.1.6 has the patch. That should tell you something about the seriousness, they are willing to go back and patch something they are trying to phase out.
