probably more pro-choice people (like myself) here than we think like same sex marriage, this is also a losing issue for the religious right unfortunately there are some on the left or far left that have bumbled the issues here florida had a substantial majority of reg'd dem voters (a couple of elections ago, about a 300,000 spread i think) recently that has reversed to an even footing what causes immigrants that are clearly lefty liberals to support liberal policy, but vote for gov on the right? life experience?

It's just a draft at the moment, but Moscow Mitch "Satan" McConnell seems to have succeeded in establishing minority rule in our country. I don't see that being reversed in my lifetime.
We'll see what happens in November. 7 out of 10 Americans say they don't want Roe V Wade overturned. The entire country knows it was McConnell playing to win and ignoring anything that resembles integrity. Either the country will react to a purely political court, or it won't. The Republicans have been amazing recently at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

zactly But the Tyranny of States won't stop. Anyone in Texas can open carry a loaded weapon, without a permit, license or training, but your neighbor's wife's behavior is YOUR business. And current SCOTUS borne of devious McConnell power grabs is allowing it.

My point is that everything is subject to review by SCOTUS should a case reach this level. Perhaps if better laws were crafted we wouldn't be having these kinds of problems.
I truly believe bad laws are written with the hopes of reaching SCOTUS to have enough of whatever is found valid to get the overall intent of the law eventually put into use. Judicial activism. If you have enough of those kinds of justices, the bad law stands.
It must be a unanimous decision or you consider it wrong. So if the vote was 8 / 1 or 7 / 2 or 5 / 4 for B v BOE it would have been the wrong decision ? IIRC the final vote for R v W was 7 / 2. Not a unanimous decision.
The point of stare decisis is to guard against the Court overturning precedents just because the makeup of the Court has changed. The standard is not that a Justice believes it was wrongly decided and would not have voted with the majority if he or she had been on the court at the time. Rather, it is that the precedent is “clearly” or “egregiously” wrong, which is what is being discussed now regarding the Mississippi case. Edit: not the best explanation, but it is late . . .
